[Bug 508702] [NEW] upper dependencies on libc6 ( 2.11)
Public bug reported: glibc2.0, libnih and upstart all have hard coded upper dependencies on libc6 ( 2.11). Just seeing this when trying to test-install an eglibc-2.11.1 upload. [Bug 496221] Re: Power management fails to hibernate when battery critical low on Zepto 3215
Exactly the same problem here. I've tried the last 3 generation of Ubuntu on my EeePC 1000H, but none of them has been able to run the action assigned to a critically low battery state successfully. I only remember some 2 or 3 times when it really happened. And my laptop has shut down unexpectedly for such power-cuts maybe 100 times already. That's the biggest trouble with Ubuntu on EeePCs. The problem is that: IT DOESN'T GUESS THE REMAINING BATTERY LIFE CORRECTLY. It still shows some 5 minutes remaining, when the battery suddenly goes over, however it would run the action at 2 minutes remaining, I think. Interestingly, the KDE POWER MANAGER IN KUBUNTU WORKS PERFECTLY with my hardware. It's the most dangerous bug for the hardware you can have. [Bug 351008] [NEW] In Preferences menu, change Mouse entry label since it also allows to configure touchpads
You have been subscribed to a public bug: (This bug seems to be about gnome-mouse-properties package but i can't select it in Launchpad) I've just bought a DELL Mini 9 (Inspiron 910) with Ubuntu 8.04 modified by/for DELL and a friend of me had to tell me where i can set the touchpad preferences : in Preferences menu, under Mouse entry. Since my DELL mini 9 doesn't have a mouse and that i wanted to set my touchpad, it was not obvious to me ! If Mouse entry is about setting pointing devices, then rename that entry into Pointing devices with tabs for Mouse/Touchpad and so on It's confusing and undiscoverable at present time I don't know if it's something to Ubuntu or related to GNOME. see also https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/gnome-touchpad-manager http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154029 ** Affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Low Status: Confirmed ** Affects: gnome-menus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- In Preferences menu, change Mouse entry label since it also allows to configure touchpads https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/351008 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-menus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
