[Bug 517958] [NEW] Sync gtkspell 2.0.16-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
Public bug reported: Please sync gtkspell 2.0.16-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main). It will save memory and potentially fix bug #364253 (at least in some cases of similar spell-checking not working in Pidgin, virtaal and others where the singleton fix http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=2642198group_id=7896atid=107896 helps). Gtkspell 2.0.16-1 would be in Debian testing already if it wasn't for outdated hppa + mips builds. Master5597: do you mean you're able to reproduce this bug consistently when creating an user with a password longer than 48 chars? I've tried to get the same result with a Live CD of 9.04, and I don't get any problem. Could you attach your /etc/passwd and /etc/group files, possibly replacing usernames to protect your privacy? BTW, 9.04 is not an LTS, so please confirm you really mean 9.04 a.k.a. Jaunty, and not 8.04 LTS, which is Hardy. These questions are only meant to check that we can't fix this bug with a trivial fix that could go into Hardy, or that would be forth using for Lucid. [Bug 368946] Re: [i965gm] Closing and opening lid sometimes leads to screen ENDLESSLY BLINKING
Hi. I have found out that a very simple workaround works for me: suspend and resume. It is not so easy to trigger suspend while the screen is blinking. Therefore I have configured the machine to suspend when the power button is pressed. Thus my workaround in fact means pressing the power button, waiting a bit for the machine to suspend (it takes a bit longer while the screen is blinking), and then again pressing the power button to wake up the machine. -- [i965gm] Closing and opening lid sometimes leads to screen ENDLESSLY BLINKING https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368946 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I think, this is the same as the upstream bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606090 and its possible dupe https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=607475. I saw the new behavior with Evince 2.29.5 on Karmic and found it utterly annoying too. Unfortunately, I haven't tested with the latest trunk, maybe it has been already reverted. [Bug 35545] Re: Doesn't display animated GIFs
Maybe I misunderstood something ... but since Launchpad Janitor wrote on 2009-11-05: ... Fix Committed → Fix Released I expected that with my regular updates now all would work well. Alas my animated gif still won't move. On double-clicking the gif on my desktop, Eye of GNOME 2.28.1 opens, displays the gif - but without animation. Well, my version is still 2.28.1 and not yet 2.29.1 - but what does it mean fix released 3 month ago? Released but not delivered? Not included in the automatic updates (Systemverwaltung Aktualisierungsverwaltung)? What have I to do that EOG updates to V. 2.29.1? Re: [Bug 513779] Re: gvfsd-sftp crashed with SIGSEGV in g_hash_table_iter_init()
Hello. it seems that the bug disappeared ! I cannot any more reproduce it. Sorry . . . Le 01/02/2010 21:45, Pedro Villavicencio a écrit : Thank you taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, processing the crash report to get detailed information for the developers failed as the retracer did not generate a useful symbolic stack trace. Please try to obtain a backtrace manually following the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload the backtrace (as an attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem. ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) -- gvfsd-sftp crashed with SIGSEGV in g_hash_table_iter_init() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/513779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 382193] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke()
Marking this bug as Invalid because it occurred in an early development version of Nautilus and it cannot be reproduced. Furthermore, the first function of the stacktrace couldn't be retraced, but that does leave the possibility of this bug being related to bug #509522 open. Therefore, please have a look there before reopening this bug if you can reproduce this issue. Thanks! ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_closure_invoke() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 518012] Re: Inconsistent collapse/expand icon placement
Hi, thanks for reporting this bug and making Ubuntu better. I don't see a +/- sign in rhythmbox, I see a triangle. Screenshot attached. ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Inconsistent collapse/expand icon placement https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518012 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 517740] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOID()
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 515495 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/515495 Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. You're welcome. However, it is a duplicate of bug #515495. And how would I know? If it was up to me to decide, I would have followed Apport, and considered bug #515495 itself to be a duplicate of Bug #422393. However, I have been told that was not the case for the latter was fixed, so I followed his advice. Even though Sebastien requested you to report a new bug instead of reopening the old bug, you don't have to create three. One is enough. One may be enough now, but not before. Again: how would I know when could that have been enough? I had been instructed to use Apport to open a new bug for it might have been a different or new issue... but then I thought that Apport is the same tool whose precision I had been instructed to question and ignore, so I believed it safer to report each new instance of this particular bug and wait for retraicing. In the end, I am an average user, while Sebastien is the expert, and I would never question his word. Anyway, now that I have an official word on the matter, I know it is useless to keep reporting this bug. -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOID() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/517740 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
