[Bug 393720] Re: To hide files/directories is complex
UPSTREAM comment - DrKenobi [reporter] 2010-06-12 09:38:50 UTC Hi! I'm not the original reporter of this enhancement but I agree with it. I think it should be more easy to hide some folders or files. For example, if you install an application like Google Earth a new folder is created at /home and you never use it. I don't like to see that folder every time I open my Home Directory. Before I learned there where some files and directories hidden, and before I learned how to hide something, I couldn't hide that folder. For new people to Linux, like I was, I think it would be great to be able to hide something like this Google Earth folder with one or two clicks. [Bug 410407] Re: Clicking on items in Flash player does nothing [READ DESCRIPTION]
I think this was solved by the update of flashplugin-installer to version 10.1.53.64ubuntu10.04.1 released yesterday. At least it looks like the update fixed the issue on my system (Lucid). But I think Youtube also made some changes to their website so the problem could still exist somewhere else. [Bug 590913] Re: Adding panels produces unexpected results
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal: apport-collect 590913 This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to Change Non-Private data as it will be adding information to your bug report. Thanks in advance! When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's Help - Report a Problem menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. No, that's really the same bug. users-admin shouldn't show that group at all since it's plainly broken. This behavior doesn't make sense. That's why I said we should remove the audio group, which would fix the bug for all people that were added to it without noticing. [Bug 579069] Re: Unplugging AC power reports critical battery / auto-suspend; battery is actually full
** Description changed: Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 Fully updated packages Kernel: 2.6.32-22-generic The computer is an MSI Wind u100 netbook, 3-cell battery. The BIOS is flashed with the latest available firmware, which is 1.0G, released on 2010-01-04. Upon unplugging the netbook from AC power, the panel reports that the battery is critically low (2 minutes left) even though the indicator applet also reports the battery is 100% charged; and then the system auto-suspends without confirmation. After resuming from suspend, the panel reports that the battery is 100% charged (or whatever the actual value is.) In other words, the system is doing what is set under Power Management, which is to suspend when the battery is critically low. The problem is, the battery is NOT critically low, and the notification bubble reports the battery 100% charged, but only has 2 minutes left. Whatever information is needed, I will supply. [Bug 586503] Re: /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default file not run if automatic login is enabled
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Binary package hint: gdm In Ubuntu 10.04 with gdm 2.30.0, the file /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default is not run if automatic login is enabled. This was tested on 2 very different configurations: - 2 desktops which were recently upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic then to Lucid; - 1 laptop with a fresh install of Lucid. Steps to reproduce the bug: 1. Create a simple /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default file, for example with this content: #!/bin/sh echo Test /tmp/aaa 2. Logout from your session and log in again. Check for the existence of a /tmp/aaa file. It will exist. 3. Delete the /tmp/aaa file. Enable automatic login to any existing account and reboot. Check for the existence of a /tmp/aaa file. This time it will NOT exist. 4. Disable the automatic login and reboot, then login into the same account as before. Check for the existence of a /tmp/aaa file. Now it will exist again. My conclusion is that the file /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default is run during a manual login but ignored during an automatic login. I would expect the file to be run in both cases, as this happened for example with Jaunty. One more detail: I did a similar test with /etc/gdm/PreSession/Default and found it is NOT affected by this bug. [Bug 590214] Re: Quadrapassel has no sound
OK, I tried it in Maverick Alpha 1 and I'm pleased to report that sound is working. Unfortunately the game is unplayable because of a graphics bug, but I suppose that's not relevant to this thread. -- Quadrapassel has no sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/590214 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-games in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 579069] Re: Unplugging AC power reports critical battery / auto-suspend; battery is actually full
flan_suse: could you please execute the following command in a terminal to gather gnome-power-manager info: apport-collect 579069 This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to Change Non-Private data as it will be adding information to your bug report. Thanks in advance! ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete -- Unplugging AC power reports critical battery / auto-suspend; battery is actually full https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/579069 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
