[Bug 676793] Re: Need to Double-Click ISO Images TWICE Before Brasero Opens to Burn to Disc
Well, if I had something to report in the last 60 days, I would have. I can say that the record is now 9 times before the burn dialogue would pop up, so definitely not getting any better! [Bug 830872] [NEW] All contacts relative to Google Accounts have disappeared from Empathy
Public bug reported: I'm creating this bug report based on the question #168705 because I have this problem too. After an Ubuntu update 2 days ago, my google chat contacts have disappeared from Empathy. My chat status however shows as 'available'. I'm also visible to my contacts and they're able to initiate chats with me.. I'm running a 64bit version of Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS with empathy 2.30.3-0ubuntu1. [Bug 812394] Re: Disable suspend/hibernate options when they are not supported
Ok, I have discussed this with Jason W and I think we have a final decision on this item for Oneiric: 1. Suspend is enabled by default on all computers. A option to disable Suspend is shown in the power indicator, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Power 2. Hibernate is disabled by default on all computers, unless the computer is on a whitelist. The whitelist should include all Ubuntu Certified ( http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/ ) computers on which hibernate is tested regularly and proven to work. Perhaps in the future this list could also be augmented by a community certification process? A user can re-enable hibernate at any time by going to the power settings, as shown in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Power cheers, John -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/812394 Title: Disable suspend/hibernate options when they are not supported To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/812394/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 812394] Re: Disable hibernate option when it is not supported
Retitling and reopening as per previous comment. However, I still don't understand the rationale for having a machine type whitelist.; see (2) in comment 5. Do we have hard data that hibernation is consistently broken on some particular hardware, and the reason isn't just partitioning? My gut feeling is that we should just disable hibernation by default, period (and perhaps provide an Ui configuration bit to enable it). [Bug 367037] Re: Error while burning - some files may be corrupted on the disc
My experience is that until recently CD/DVD Creator has always worked however last time I used it I ended up with CDs which had the correct directory structure and correct file sizes but unreadable *.jpg. files. The program was unable to eject the CD and when I did - as instructed - I got the message some files may be corrupted. I suspect the problem may have been caused when I recently upgraded via the update manager from 10.04 to 10.10. I don't recall having burned any CDs before this attempt since that upgrade. What is somewhat bizarre is that according to the software centre CD/DVD creator and Brasero are listed separately as if they are different applications and Brasero is down as supported and CD/DVD creator isn't. CD/DVD creator 'more info' does not mention Brasero. When I insert a blank CD it offers to open CD/DVD Creator and if I select open with it does not offer me Brasero yet Brasero is listed in my applications menu and CD/DVD Creator isn't. [Bug 389857] Re: inhibit applet does not inhibit some user initiated events
Noel: thanks for providing this applet replacement - its a shame I wasn't aware of this before. Due to this and a few other issues I migrated my laptop to KDE on Fedora so this issue is no longer relevant for me. That being said, I tested this applet on my desktop running Oneiric with Gnome Classic session, and it looks to be working fine for inhibiting the screen lock. I of course couldn't test the laptop lid action which is what I was interested in the first place, and also the UI is not as simple as the original inhibit applet - It would have been great if the icon would update to show some icon other then the inhibiting icon when there are no inhibiting options enabled. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/389857 Title: inhibit applet does not inhibit some user initiated events To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-power/+bug/389857/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 831427] [NEW] Brasero ask me to open the CD trail, althoug it is already open
Public bug reported: When I try to copy a CD, brasero writes the image to the hard disk, and then ejects the Cd. However, a pop-up window opens asking me to open the CD trail, since he can not open it. As I said before, the CD has been already ejected. The pop-up window has an only Cancel button.
