[Bug 711355] Re: Songs synced to iPhone 4 do not appear in iPod app
Output of running Banshee with iPhone attached. The contents of the attached file probably don't pertain directly to this bug but rather to one with .gvfs on the iPhone not working, but I attached it anyway for completeness. ** Attachment added: banshee output.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/711355/+attachment/2359714/+files/banshee%20output.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711355 Title: Songs synced to iPhone 4 do not appear in iPod app To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtkpod/+bug/711355/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 711355] Re: Songs synced to iPhone 4 do not appear in iPod app
My iPhone 3GS is using iOS 4.2 and I had just reset all of the settings. This is what I did leading up to the iPhone being filled up with other: 1. Synced my music library with iPhone. The music didn't all fit on the iPhone, but it was listed as music. 2. Banshee doesn't have the option like Songbird to organize music folders, so I closed Banshee, moved all of my music to an external drive, started Banshee, and had Banshee import the songs back in, copying the files to their destination. 3. I plugged my iPhone into my computer and synced it with a different playlist. At this point, Banshee says that my iPhone is completely filled with other, and according to my iPhone there is 0 free space. The iPod app says that I don't have any content, and I have no way to remove the other from my iPhone so as to be able to install applications. The iPhone presented a dialog while I was looking at the iPod that there was something wrong with the pictures app that needed my attention, and when I went to the pictures app, it complained that I couldn't add any more pictures because there was no space. I tried looking at the iPhone with gtkpod, but it popped up 3 dialogs saying that I had to initialize the iPhone, and I clicked okay for the first one and cancel for the remaining dialogs. Now, whenever I start Banshee with my iPhone plugged in, it promptly crashes after consuming 100% CPU for some time. I'm kind of wondering why this feature is included in Ubuntu at all, since it fills up my iPhone with inaccessible music and consumes 100% of my CPU while crashing Banshee. I attached the terminal output of running Banshee with the iPhone plugged in. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711355 Title: Songs synced to iPhone 4 do not appear in iPod app To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtkpod/+bug/711355/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 399974] Re: 'Keep Aligned' option always resets to 'true' after desktop reload
It is still a minor nuisance (bug) in 10.4 that has not been fixed yet. I've been keeping the desktop icons aligned until now. To tell you the truth there is no need to reboot and if I log out of session and log back in the desktop settings remain intact. So far I have not applied suggested workarounds yet, and I intend to keep it this way until there is an official fix or I have time to fix it. Let me know if you come up with a fix. [Bug 842434] [NEW] Connect window is blank except for Close and Connect buttons
Public bug reported: On Oneiric beta, when opening the Connect dialog to connect to a new server, the window that opens is empty except for the buttons at the bottom, which makes it a bit hard to use. Screenshot attached. This actually looks like Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=627711 which in turn relates to gnome bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=656069. The bug has been fixed upstream in gnome, and the Debian bug indicates that that version has been brought into the Debian archive (or is it still pending? wording a little vague there), so it may only be necessary to sync to the upstream version to fix this. :-) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: xchat-gnome 1:0.30.0~git20100421.29cc76-1ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-10.16-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-10-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Sep 6 09:32:54 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal - Release amd64 (20110427.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xchat-gnome UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-09-05 (0 days ago) ** Affects: xchat-gnome (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oneiric running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to xchat-gnome in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/842434 Title: Connect window is blank except for Close and Connect buttons To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xchat-gnome/+bug/842434/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 9441] Re: the locate pointer option breaks other keybindings
Kirill: I am commenting as the member of the VirtualBox development team in charge of keyboard handling in Linux. My guess is that the locate pointer tool places a passive grab [1] on the control key. What this means if it is correct is that as of the point when the grab is placed no other application can see the control key being pressed or released unless the tool explicitly allows it (I presume it doesn't); however they can still (usually) see combinations including the control key, such as Ctrl-Scroll in Frederik's example above. Certainly VirtualBox relies on being able to spot individual keypresses and releases and doesn't try to monitor key combinations to work around this sort of thing: we take the point of view that if the user wants to take keys away from us for other purposes they should know what they are doing, and we don't want to add complexity to deal with it and risk creating bugs for other people. If there were a nice way of spotting passive grabs by other applications we might warn the user, but I don't know of any way other than trying to grab every key ourselves to see which ones we can't get.
