[Bug 1034432] [NEW] Shotwell doesn't show options (Rotate, Enhance etc) when opening Maximised
Public bug reported: I have a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 (16:9) on my main display, and a resolution of 1024 x 768 (4:3) on my secondary display. When opening Shotwell maximised on my main display, the options such as Rotate, Enhance etc don't show. The space where they should be is just blank, showing the background application or desktop. I have to un- maximise Shotwell, then re-maximise it (best way I can describe it) to then reveal the options correctly. [Bug 1034594] [NEW] zenity --question --timeout returns 5 when click yes
Public bug reported: The man page says: For example, zenity --question will return either 0, 1 or 5, depending on whether the user pressed OK, Cancel or timeout has been reached. zenity --entry will output on standard output what the user typed into the text entry field. however, for the following $ zenity --question --title=Title --text=Click yes --timeout=6 $ echo $? 5 one can see that zenity returns 5 instead of 0 if you click the Yes (OK) button. Without --timeout, zenity returns 0 when you click Yes. The man page also is incorrect because the buttons are labeled No and Yes (in that order, left to right), not OK or Cancel. Also, pressing ESC is typically equivalent to canceling a dialog, but in the latter case, zenity returns 0 (as if I had selected Yes) instead of 0 (No/Cancel) See also http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs- d...@lists.debian.org/msg1048592.html ** Affects: zenity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to zenity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1034594 Title: zenity --question --timeout returns 5 when click yes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zenity/+bug/1034594/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1034609] [NEW] Palimpsest warns about misalignment of extended partition
Public bug reported: On a drive that requires 64-byte alignment, palimpsest complains if an extended partition is misaligned, suggesting repartitioning. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this irrelevant with an extended partition, only mattering with physical and logical partitions? The warning certainly looks alarming. It definitely looks like I should be fixing things as a matter of urgency! Unless I'm wrong in my understanding that this is harmless, the warning should be removed in such cases. ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-disk-utility in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1034609 Title: Palimpsest warns about misalignment of extended partition To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-disk-utility/+bug/1034609/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1029531] Re: cdromupgrade from Lucid to Precise failed with unmet dependencies without network connection
Right, so after some more debugging, thanks to Steve for parsing the apt output, the total list of problems is the following. - update-notifier-common attempts to run patch but doesn't depend on it, the failure is ignored so not causing a critical bug - the resolver fails to decide to remove librasero-media0 to make launchpad-integration installable - the resolver tries to keep the old evolution-plugins, breaking libnspr in the process - libgnome2 is required by the upgrade but not on the media - openoffice.org-core is needed by the upgrader but doesn't exist in the archive - some other openoffice.org packages are required by the upgrader but not on the media - the upgrader requires .*screen.* to be installed instead of ^screen$ making the upgrade fail if any package containing the work screen is removed by the upgrader And the matching list of changes: - update-notifier-common needs to depend on patch - launchpad-integration needs to break on libbrasero-media0 - libnspr4-0d needs to break on evolution-plugins ( 3.2.0-0ubuntu2) - seed libgnome2 on alternate - add transitional package openoffice.org-core to openoffice.org - fix removal blacklist to use ^screen$ ** Also affects: launchpad-integration (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: nspr (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Changed in: nspr (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Changed in: launchpad-integration (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Changed in: launchpad-integration (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: nspr (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu Precise) Status: Confirmed = Triaged ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: Canonical Foundations Team (canonical-foundations) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided = Critical ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) ** Changed in: nspr (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided = Critical ** Changed in: launchpad-integration (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided = Critical ** Changed in: launchpad-integration (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) ** Changed in: nspr (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Critical ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical = Medium ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) ** Changed in: nspr (Ubuntu Precise) Status: Triaged = In Progress ** Changed in: launchpad-integration (Ubuntu Precise) Status: Triaged = In Progress ** Also affects: update-notifier (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) ** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to launchpad-integration in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1029531 Title: cdromupgrade from Lucid to Precise failed with unmet dependencies without network connection To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/launchpad-integration/+bug/1029531/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
