[Bug 1044520] [NEW] Open indicator menu inhibits media keys
Public bug reported: Media keys do not function if an indicator menu is open. I noticed this when I had the sound indicator menu open and I tried to use a media key on my keyboard to adjust the volume. To reproduce: 1) On a keyboard with media keys such as sound up/down/mute, press one of the media keys and observe that it works as expected 2) Click the sound indicator to open the sound indicator menu 3) Press the media key from step one Expected results: The media key performs its normal function and the corresponding OSD is displayed Actual results: Nothing happens (sound does not get louder/softer, for example) and no OSD is displayed This seems to affect all media keys regardless of their function, and any indicator menu can trigger the behavior. [Bug 1044602] Re: do-partial-upgrade crashed with SIGSEGV in pango_glyph_item_iter_next_cluster()
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1026891 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1026891 ** Description changed: Updating Quantal today, I ran update-manager and picked 'Partial Upgrade'. It ran through its progress stages for a while, then crashed. Can't think of any other suspicious circumstances. - (It respawned, and I chose the plain 'Continue' button instead; that - upgrade ran fine.) - Apport crashed with bug 1017338 while reporting this. But the report - went on to open Launchpad. If any information was lost, I'll try to - recover it. Thanks. + went on to open Launchpad. I'm not totally sure what all the reported + info should be, so I don't know if any was dropped. Thanks.
