[Bug 1165742] Re: Synctex plugin was not built in raring
So, while this *should* be fixed in dbus-python, there exists the hilarious situation right now that python-dbus depends on python-dbus- dev for backward compat, so making python-dbus-dev depend on libdbus-1-dev would pull libdbus-1-dev onto every desktop, which is less than ideal. When that backward compat dependency is removed, someone should fix python-dbus-dev's dependencies. gedit-plugins in saucy already has the extra libdbus-1-dev build-dep, so this should be working correctly there. Thus, the only thing that could use a fix is a raring SRU of gedit-plugins, if someone feels the urge. ** Also affects: gedit-plugins (Ubuntu Raring) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: dbus-python (Ubuntu Raring) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gedit-plugins (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Fix Released ** Changed in: dbus-python (Ubuntu Raring) Status: New = Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit-plugins in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1165742 Title: Synctex plugin was not built in raring To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dbus-python/+bug/1165742/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1236752] [NEW] gnome-settings-daemon (3.4.2-0ubuntu0.6.3) breaks nvidia multi-monitor-config
Public bug reported: Hello, I use Kubuntu 12.04.x with lightdm as login-manager to KDE and the nvidia binary driver with 2 monitors (DVI, TwinView). My Multi-Monitor config: right monitor: MAIN monitor left monitor: second monitor as extension: with mode left of Main Monitor This config is setup with nvidia-settings, which stores in xorg.conf and in .nvidia-settings in home-dir. In KDE the config is also stored with krandr as default config. After upgrading from package gnome-settings-daemon (3.4.2-0ubuntu0.6.2) to gnome-settings-daemon (3.4.2-0ubuntu0.6.3), the xorg.conf settings are ignored/misinterpreted as well as the KDE krandr settings. When lightdm is started, the second monitor is on the right side, and when logging-in to KDE either clone mode on both monitors is started or the second monitor is on the right side (mirrored). = I have to set my desired settings manually again and at the next reboot the problem persists. I have downgraded to gnome-settings-daemon-3.4.1-0ubuntu1, and the problem is gone. All fine again. I didn't find the previous version 3.4.2-0ubuntu0.6.2. How can I get this package version? [Bug 1236826] Re: Nautilus randomly fails to show thumbnails of gif files
Then I pick a file whose thumbnail is not shown, I copy it into another folder, and _there_ the thumbnail is shown. So it's completely random, it's not something wrong with the file. [Bug 1183948] Re: Can not read/write files to walkman (MTP)
There were two problems I think, the MTP device (Sony Walkman) is no longer handled by gvfs-gphoto2 probably due to a change in the udev rules or perhaps how the default case is handled when the device isn't recognized, and a bug that has been fixed in the PPA mentioned above that dealt with problems in the way in which the files were mapped to the local file system - I think it was showing numbers for filenames among other things. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1183948 Title: Can not read/write files to walkman (MTP) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1183948/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
