[Bug 1381897] [NEW] Evince will not zoom in with shortcut key in 14.10 Release Candidate?
Public bug reported: Evince shortcut key for zoom-in does not work after I upgraded to 14.10 Release Candidate. I am running an AsusUx301LA with everything upgraded on 14.10 and this still happens. At one point I got it to zoom in with Fn++ but Ctrl++ has never worked. Now Fn++ is never working. Let me know if any other info is needed. ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1381897 Title: Evince will not zoom in with shortcut key in 14.10 Release Candidate? [Bug 1236619] Re: gvfs smb / cifs file copy performance is terribly slow
I have experienced this bug on two Ubuntu desktop 12.04.5 x64 systems, copying to a debian 7 / samba 3.6 share. I haven't tried other OS versions though. Steps to reproduce: Open remote share so it gets gvfs-mounted under ~/.gvfs cd ~ cd .gvfs/path/to/remote/samba/share cp ~/huge_file . Speed: roughly 5.5 Mbyte/s sudo mount /remote/samba/share /mnt cp ~/huge_file /mnt/ Speed: roughly maxes out wire. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1236619 Title: gvfs smb / cifs file copy performance is terribly slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1236619/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Oddly enough, copying ~/huge_file to the same remote samba share _with Nautilus_ maxes out the wire too. [Bug 1381804] Re: whoopsie test failure since glib2.0 2.41.2-1 uploaded
Posting on behalf of Ryan, who cannot log in right now. He found out that the problem is in the test case itself. It uses g_main_loop_quit() as a source callback from test_callback_never_triggered. Source callbacks are supposed to return bool for if they get issued again or not. Apparently on amd64 we randomly end up with 0 in the return value register so the source function gets unregistered. On x386 it's random junk, so the callback gets run again, with the already freed mainloop. Also, g_timeout_add_seconds (0.5) is bogus - the first argument is a uint. Please change that to g_timeout_add(500). ** Package changed: glib2.0 (Ubuntu) = whoopsie (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: whoopsie (Ubuntu) Assignee: Ryan Lortie (desrt) = (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to glib2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1381804 Title: whoopsie test failure since glib2.0 2.41.2-1 uploaded To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/whoopsie/+bug/1381804/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1382046] [NEW] libvirt-bin unaware of uids on LDAP when started via systemd
Public bug reported: I was unable to connect to libvirtd from my regular user account after upgrading to Utopic Unicorn. The error from 'virsh list' was something about that libvirtd couldn't resolve my uid. failed to find user record for uid I think. Since I have all non-system users on LDAP remotely, I suspect that systemd and/or libvirtd was unable to a resolve my uid upon startup and didn't bother to check again. Running gnome-panel from terminal will allow you to see error/warning messages. Sorry to say, but after the things suggested my 14.04 system is now still unstable - in different ways than before. I also don't understand under what username I am recognized and signed in. About half of the time I click on something on the panels the panels all disappear now. I can open a terminal, enter nautilus, and all re-appears; but they will all soon disappear when closing a window or doing something. As is, it is unusable and I'm back in 12.04 Again, I'm not sure if I ever made a new user or renamed mine and don't quite know how to find out. Is there any way to repair my system? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1380095 Title: Gnome Fallback[s] don't work in 14.04.
