[Bug 1296275] Re: PTP Cameras not working on 14.04, works flawlessly on 12.04
I've tried pretty much everything I can above. I've checked the #44 above and done it and besides that the packge looked correct anyways before I opened it. The computer was updated fully before trying. It seems this bug is connected to just Canon now as the reports above seem to fix the others. here is the link to the paste of the command line stuff from the machine: http://paste.ubuntu.com/9789752/ the exact model number is the Canon SX20 IS as per Robert above. version is 14.04 fully up to date on 64 bit machine Anything else i can do to help you resolve this would be awesome as my mom is not liking using the SD card removal each time. [Bug 1412624] [NEW] Fix from bug 1271591 breaks uses of ssh-agent
Public bug reported: For those of us that don't want to use gnome-keyring-ssh and use ssh- agent instead, the changes to fix bug #1271591 prevent us from doing so. Previously, we were able to disable gnome-keyring-ssh by ediing /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring-ssh.desktop and setting NoDisplay=false. Then it would be visible in Startup Applications Preferences and you could turn it off. (For mre details and screenshots, see https://github.com/dlech/KeeAgent/issues/89#issuecomment-63449092) However, now even though gnome-keyring-ssh is disabled at startup, these new changes cause it to run anyway. [Bug 1401917] Re: GVFS Samba mounts time out after inactivity
This is interesting to know that gvfs does not do this SMB Echo Request... That is a pity, because gvfs is as simple as the net use command on Windows, and uses the Kerberos ticket, so it is a very interesting tool for companies trying to migrate to Ubuntu for desktops. Currently, as a workaround, I did a small bash script that does exactly this (with the ls command) and which I run after user login : #!/bin/bash cd /run/user/$UID/gvfs/ while true do for i in ./smb* ; do if [ -d $i ]; then ls $(basename $i)/ /dev/null fi done sleep 120 done -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1401917 Title: GVFS Samba mounts time out after inactivity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1401917/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1307793] Re: 14.04 rhythmbox freezes when going backwards a song (.m4a).
I am also able to reproduce this issue. I was unable to find any updated bug threads, so apologies in advance for a depracated update to this report. The .m4a files in question all came from YouTube, via youtube-dl. I also cannot duplicate the issue with .mp3 files. 1) Output of 'lsb_release -rd': Description:Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Release:14.04 2) Package version via 'apt-cache policy rhythmbox' rhythmbox: Installed: 3.0.2-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 3.0.2-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 3.0.2-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.0.2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages 3) What you expected to happen Scroll forward in time via slider, advancing further into .m4a track 4) What happened instead Rhythmbox becomes unresponsive and Ubuntu prompts to wait or kill. I've waited for several minutes with no luck. Killing the program and restarting is the only way to recover. Note: It appears Videos is experiencing the same issue when playing .m4a files taken from YouTube; which makes me wonder if the problem is exclusive to YouTube or youtube-dl. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307793 Title: 14.04 rhythmbox freezes when going backwards a song (.m4a).
