[Bug 1894177] [NEW] Scale factor not applied to Xwayland clients
Public bug reported: Ever since the most recent update (I restarted my session on 2020/09/03, so sometime before then) the Ubuntu on Wayland session has not applied the scale factor to XWayland clients. My laptop's scale factor is 2, and this applies correctly to Wayland clients, but not to XWayland clients. [Bug 1894097] [NEW] Unable to switch from HSP to A2DP on BOSE blutoot headphones
Public bug reported: I have a Bose NC 700 pair of headphones. The device works correctly with Android and Windows (al be it more cumbersome and confusing in Windows). Device: Firmware 1.5.1-9303+d287f23 GUID: 5c097385-cd87-d8dd-bab9-4c726a0ac560 I am available to test. Problem 1: I am required to click on the "connect" toggle button for the Bluetooth audio device about 20 - 30 times to make it connect. This is also true for other speakers as for example JBL Bluetooth speakers. Problem 2: BOSE Headset/Gnome BT Audio configuration. I am unable to switch between HSP/DSP mode to A2DP Sink. The device remains connected as a communication device and not as an audio device. I remain stuck with mono sound. Though the gnome control panel indicates that I have indeed switched to A2DP Sink. However, when I click "test" I only get the mono test and the sound is absolutely unusable. Because there is a microphone on the headphones, Gnome control panel and the underlying Bluetooth service refuse to change from HSP/DSP. Clearly this is not by design. [Bug 439815] Re: Impossible to launch gnome-volume-control application in Ubuntu Karmic
Ubuntu 14.04/Trusty was the last version to include the gnome-media package, and it has reached End of Life (EoL) for standard support. The gnome-media package is also not included in the Extended Security Maintenance plan: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/ESM/14.04#A14.04_Infrastructure_ESM_Packages If this issue still exists in supported Ubuntu releases, please re-open this bug or file a new one: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases ** Changed in: gnome-media (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439815 Title: Impossible to launch gnome-volume-control application in Ubuntu Karmic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-media/+bug/439815/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1893984] Re: Wayland is still unstable with ubuntu 20.04
Please report only a single issue per bug report. > .the run command (ALT+F2) is not working correctly ...For example "r" for restarting the gnome-shell doesn't work. That's a feature of Wayland sessions, not a bug. Because in a Wayland session gnome-shell *is* the display server so restarting it would kill all apps, unlike Xorg sessions. > .geometry specified in the .config for apps like Mpv are ignored in wayland sessions Please open a new bug about that (and with more details) by running: ubuntu-bug mutter > .my computer froze on a wayland session We will make this bug about the freeze. To debug it further, please: 1. Follow these instructions to check for crashes: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses#Missing_a_crash_report_or_having_a_.crash_attachment 2. Next time the freeze happens, press Alt+SysRq+(R,E,S,U,B). And immediately after it reboots run: journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt and attach the resulting text file here. ** Summary changed: - Wayland is still unstable with ubuntu 20.04 + Computer froze on a wayland session ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1893984 Title: Computer froze on a wayland session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1893984/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
