[Bug 1855757] Re: [nvidia] Background image corrupted after standby or resume from suspend
Wolf, Most likely the staggered rollout of mutter 3.36.6 has not reached you yet. Just check the version of package libmutter-6-0 you have installed. If it is 3.36.6 or higher then perhaps open a new bug by running: ubuntu-bug mutter And please open a separate bug for each issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1855757 Title: [nvidia] Background image corrupted after standby or resume from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1855757/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

nvidia 340 driver, GT218M / 3100NVS card on HP 8440p laptop, System: focal Have still the "corrupted desktop" problem; changing to "proposed" made that I could no longer resume from hibernate. [Bug 1899720] Re: Gnome takes MORE THAN 20 SECONDS to open a folder
It sounds like nautilus is blocked waiting for one or more slow mounts. Most likely that's a network mount, so try removing any of those temporarily. Less likely it's a local disk failure. Please also check that the problem is not high CPU by running 'top'. If you can't find the source of the problem then please: 1. Reboot to create a fresh system log. 2. Reproduce the problem once. 3. Immediately run: journalctl -b0 > journal.txt and attach the resulting text file here. ** Package changed: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) => nautilus (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1899720 Title: Gnome takes MORE THAN 20 SECONDS to open a folder To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1899720/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Public bug reported: After upgrading from 18.04 to 20.04, Ubuntu has become UNUSABLE. [Bug 1558886] Re: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in _clutter_input_device_reset_scroll_info()
I'm still not sure what to make of this bug. The fix linked upstream: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/1345 is supposedly in mutter 3.35.2 but there are plenty of these crashes after that: https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/fda12af21f79f7f1e23ab3cc830da47eca410baa So it seems like at least one of those should not be linked here. [Bug 1879968] Re: Copy/paste still sometimes fails in LibreOffice and Wine apps
I have a brand new install of Ubuntu 20.04 desktop which I am accessing remotely using a VNC connection. $ uname -a Linux 5.4.0-48-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP Thu Sep 10 10:58:49 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I am using x11vnc server and tightVNC on my win10 host $ x11vnc --version x11vnc: 0.9.16 lastmod: 2019-01-05 I'm seeing exactly the same problems as listed above, but when pasting to a Linux terminal in my remote TightVNC viewer. Sometimes, but not always, I can paste to a gedit text file. Mutter is already the newest version (3.36.6-1ubuntu0.20.04.2). I've never had the problem with 16.04 or 18.04. Is this the sstill part of the problem discussed on thsi thread? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1879968 Title: Copy/paste still sometimes fails in LibreOffice and Wine apps To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/1879968/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
