[Bug 2049095] [NEW] Google Chrome does not maximize on title bar double-click

2024-01-11 Thread Matthias Dailey
Public bug reported:

This issue has been reported in various places but I haven't found an
official bug logged, so I am creating this. Please redirect me if this
isn't the right place to log this bug.

The issue has been mentioned here:
-
https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/qdoikz/2110_chrome_doubleclick_maximizerestore_requires/
-
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/nsjceg/double_click_to_maximize_not_working_only_on/
- https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2022/05/chrome-double-click-ubuntu-2204/
-
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1406688/ubuntu-jammy-22-04-double-click-on-chrome-sometimes-ended-with-move-pointer
-
https://askubuntu.com/questions/989216/double-click-on-titlebar-to-maximize-restore-windows

The issue is that Chrome (and its PWAs) do not properly maximize when
you double-click the window, as other application windows do.

Some workarounds have been mentioned, but this is still a bug that should be
fixed:
- Chrome has a "use system title bar and borders" option, but that makes the
window large and ugly.
- A triple-click will maximize the window, but that's not the intended
interaction, and it's a discrepancy in the user interactions.

Thanks,
Matthias

[Bug 1939282] Re: Two versions are installed

2024-01-11 Thread Jeremy Bícha
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS stopped installing the Snap version of GNOME System
Monitor by default and installed the .deb version instead.

Upgrades ought not to have kept the Snap version installed. However, if
this did not work correctly, it is too late to make that kind of change
now. Sorry.

2024-01-11 Thread Chris Guiver
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command only once, as it
will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 2049016

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-
bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this
functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.
