[Bug 1236077] Re: shotwell crashed with SIGABRT
It happens often enough that I thought it worthwhile to report as a bug, but I can't reproduce it easily. I have an old Canon DLSR and the transfer speed via USB was terrible so I now do the transfer by taking the card out and putting it in a reader. What I have found is that often, but not predictably, Shotwell will stop responding whilst displaying the thumbnails - some times it will crash, some times it will recover and continue - and in other cases there is no issue (e.g. after restarting once crashed). This is all with the same card. Typically I transfer once I have more than 50 pictures on the card. I use a cheap generic USB2.0 card reader. I don't know why there's no stack trace. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. [Bug 1239580] [NEW] gstreamer-tools package information is misleading
Public bug reported: The executables packaged in gstreamer-tools are effectively aliases for the similarly named files in gstreamer-tools-0.10, with some additional magic that allows them to work with GStreamer 0.8 if it is there (and it almost certainly isn't). [Bug 1075923] Re: nautilus hangs copying large directories from a samba share
I've been running Ubuntu for about 7 months now, and currently have 12.10 running on a Dell Precision M90. I am experiencing this problem with my NAS. [Bug 1239886] [NEW] regression: keyboard backlight hotkeys no longer functional
Public bug reported: A recent change to 13.10 has broken userspace control of the keyboard backlight on my MacbookPro3,1. This was working well until about a week ago (1st week of October 2013). The backlight device in the kernel still works; for example this will turn off the keyboard backlight: echo 0 | sudo tee -a /sys/class/leds/smc\:\:kbd_backlight/brightness Therefore I assume it's a gnome-settings-daemon (or upower?) regression. [Bug 988138] Re: Iagno hangs every game or two in Ubuntu 12.04, is very slow to take AI turns, crashes, loops sounds and gives wrong score in the end. Worked fine in 11.10
Hi, most of these have been fixed upstream. [1] is the AI freeze, [2] is a workaround (not really a fix) that stops the looping sounds (probably the cause of the crash in comment #2), [3] is for the broken scores (also reported at [4]), [5] is for when neither player can move, [6] handles the undo bug. I think the issue in comment #11 may have magically been fixed, but I'm not sure. I'm watching the upstream bug tracker at bugzilla.gnome.org - feel free to report any further Iagno bugs you find directly there, but please only if you've reproduced the issue in the most recent 3.8 or 3.10 release (currently 3.8.3 and 3.10.1). [Bug 1188346] Re: fills $HOME/.cache/gdm/session.log
Until it's fixed, I wrote a cron command that checks that file every 5 minutes and deletes it whenever it reaches 500Mb. That's still too large but I don't mind looking at the log to see what's happening once in a while. At leat my /home doesn't boil over. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1188346 Title: fills $HOME/.cache/gdm/session.log To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1188346/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
