Title:
  no sound after resume

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hi!

After a suspend/resume cycle with HDMI plugged in, it seems that
pulseaudio doesn't recognize anymore the internal analog device
(speakers/headphones) and I hear no sound. Before suspend I see two
audio sinks through "pacmd list-sinks" (internal analog and HDMI), and
after resume I only get HDMI audio. Still, audio only ever comes out
  of the internal device.

A "killall pulseaudio" solves this for me (i.e., I get audio from the
  internal device).

This looks a bit similar to the old bug #202089, but I don't know if
  it's the same.

Title:
Sound is played through wrong Output Device

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Since a few days my Ubuntu 20.04 systems shows the following behavior:

The sound settings panel in part ignores the selected output device. I
can switch between the devices and in turn all volume controls seem to
affect that device (including the hotkeys etc.). But the sound is only
every played through the Speakers port.

The only way to temporarily fix this (until reboot or even suspend) is
to open pavucontrol and manually change the port of the built in audio
to "headphone". After this the sound is correctly played through the
  bluetooth headphones.

  Description: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1883426] Re: Double Deb sources in Ubuntu Software

2020-06-14 Thread Balint Harmath
Once the description is understandable - since you can install a package on the
whole system, or only to a distinct user. This may effect the code you are
checking out.
However this shouldn't be recognisable to the user.
The user once have decided it in checkbox-style during the installation
process, the dependencies or the package installed are to be decided by the
installer - not by the user.

Title:
Weird font rendering on certain website with firefox

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
When hovering some elements, some letters moves slightly. A gif
  explains better than words here:

  https://trancart.eu/lutim/l7qWMFQF/7Q9YJRUn.gif

I reproduce this at least on twitter and gitlab.com, but I remember
  having it on other websites.

  My OS: kubuntu 20.04

Reproduced on both firefox dev edition and firefox from apt package.

Sorry in advance if it is not the correct place, I have no idea where
  to report that.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1881964] Re: PCI/internal sound card not detected

2020-06-13 Thread Balint Harmath
Just to comment: the system does not recognize the soundcard. You might want to
reinstall the firmware.
To get manually the type you can command line: 'sudo lshw'
You will find appropriate information at "multimedia" tag.
Or optionally: 'aplay -l'

You will find more information about installing soundcard firmware below.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingGuide
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting

Hope this will get the device work.

Title:
[Toshiba NB250] Integrated speakers always muted

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Speakers are muted at boot and remains muted after plug and unplug
headphones. Only can be activated from alsamixer, unmuting the headphones while
the headphones are unplugged. Both speakers and
headphones muting seems to be controlled in the Headphones area using
alsamixer.

Same problem in pulseaudio 1:11.1-1ubuntu7.4 on Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia
  base: Ubuntu 18.04 bionic.

I've "solved" it Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia in a not very good way,
keeping automute activated in alsamixer, modifiyng
  /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output-headphones.conf
and executing a bash script at boot (sonido.sh) with the command
"amixer set -c 0 Headphone unmute 100%" in order to prevent the
  speakers being muted.

There are some issues reported to pulseaudio manteiners. Not the same
  but related:
