[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1165169] Re: Printing LibreOffice document to Brother HL-3070CW results in error message or distored image
Hi Joe, I've not seen this bug with other images, but it is reliably repeatable. If you can clue me in to how to print a pdf and odt file with firefox or chrome I would be happy to do this for you. IMHO such things are not within the domain of a browser. From my review the link to printer problems seemed to be not useful, but thank you for the link. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know. Thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1165169 Title: Printing LibreOffice document to Brother HL-3070CW results in error message or distored image Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: LibreOffice document a.odt attached LibreOffice pdf printout document a.pdf, which is normal, attached Printer throws out empty page followed by another page with the following text: ERROR: undefined OFFENDING COMMAND: NPJ!JV$´*.9r$m STACK: -mark- -mark- -mark- Note: that I simplified an original document that also had an error -- when printed it included this same photo, but the width was badly stretched horizontally and at an angle and had a visible white rip within it toward the left side. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1165169] Re: Printing LibreOffice document to Brother HL-3070CW results in error message or distored image
Just a clarification ... when I print preview the .odt file in libreoffice writer it displays perfectly ... not so with printing. When I print preview the .pdf file in okular it displays perfectly ... no so with printing. When I display the .tif file with Image Magick it displays and prints correctly. When I load the .tif file in gimp it displays and prints correctly. I've attached the tif file. I don't need a work-around. :-) What I'm trying to do is document a bug that can be reliably reproduced. Thanks! Again if I can be of further assistance please ask! [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1056957] Re: Printing webpage to pdf file loses parentheses
1) Double-click HTML file - launches FireFox 2) FireFox File|Print...|Print to File So maybe the bug is in FireFox? Or maybe CUPS? I installed Chromium and performed the above two steps again. I got the same print dialog, but the correct result ... parentheses were printed. So it appears that the bug is in FireFox. So the question now ... is this the correct channel to log bugs in FireFox since it is the Browser du Jour for Ubuntu? Or is it done in another way?
