[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1733890] Re: Copy to clipboard not working

2018-08-30 Thread Roland Giesler
I have the exact same problem. It was working before, but some recent
update must have broken something. Running Xorg, not wayland on 18.04.
Screenshot goes through the motions, but nothing ends up in the
clipboard buffer to paste.

  Copy to clipboard not working

Status in gnome-screenshot package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Grab the whole screen with delay
  2. Press copy to clipboard
  3. Try pasting into any application like GIMP or Chrome (e.g. Github issue
thread) using Ctrl + v

It's not pasting any image because it doesn't seem to be in clipboard.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1292398] Re: Second screen position isn't saved from one session to another

2018-04-11 Thread Roland Giesler
I have this problem with Ubuntu 17.10.

Unity (17.04) didn't have this problem.

Asus Zenbook Flip: I work primarily in 2 locations. I have large
monitors at each location. When I'm at home, my notebook is positioned
to the left of the monitor. I have configuration set for that.

When I get to the client site, the notebook is on the right of the
monitor and the monitor is bigger than the one at home. After having my
home settings active, gnome does not remember my client setup and vice
versa.

I expect the configuration to be restored the moment I connect a
previously set up external monitor, the way it was working on Unity.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 846407] Re: xrdp is not able to transmitt unity desktop correct - different clients

2014-10-19 Thread Roland Giesler
I think we should make a new concerted effort to get this addressed:

1. It doesn't seem any client can remotely connection to Unity-3D. That
includes X2Go, xrdp, nxclient and possibly others.
2. This is a core component of LTSP for instance, which cannot run Unity-3D
either

The least we should be able to get from the Ubuntu Devs is a roadmap or
plan. If they don't want to fix it, they should tell us why.
