[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1886322] Re: Unable to move files in bulk on desktop using rectangle
issue reported to above link: https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/ShellExtensions/desktop- icons/-/issues/211 ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/World/ShellExtensions/desktop-icons/-/issues #211 https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/ShellExtensions/desktop-icons/-/issues/211 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1886322 Title: Unable to move files in bulk on desktop using rectangle Status in gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hi, This bug started to happen like 1-2 months ago, and as I remember I didn't do any customizations like installing any external plugins and etc, but I have some stuff already like custom icons, shell, theme... but it worked normaly before. What is happening is that when I select more than 1 file on desktop, no matter which file it is (folder, .txt, image.. anything), and when I try to move around desktop from one place to another, it will move only 1 file and not the rest. So, unable to move selected files on desktop (drag and drop using cursor's rectangle). Its simple issue, no need for video or screenshot. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1875292] Re: Double click on window titlebar pass through to what's below
Hey, thanks for replies. I now have more info about this issue: It is happening if you for example use FileZilla and double-click on its topbar but make sure you have something behind it like Trash, Home folder, libre doc or anything else.. It is not happening for Home folder, Files folder, Ubuntu windows like Settings or etc.. so, I believe this is happening for any external installed applications like FileZilla, Gimp, BlueMail etc. Any other app. I will report to Gnome if you want me to, but please after you review this my latest comment on this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875292 Title: Double click on window titlebar pass through to what's below Status in mutter package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hi, This is simple to reproduce and I experienced this also on 19.10. First, make sure you have enabled "double-click on top bar of window to minimize" feature, I'm using that because its easy and fast for me to minimize the window. 1. Make sure you have any folder (like home) or file on desktop but in Big size and Top-Center location of desktop (I have many folders and files which are on top-center location so when I click double-click on topbar of window, issue appears) 2. Open Files for example 3. Double-click on top bar of window to minimize it 4. Observe issue (make sure you double-clicked on top bar but to be folder or file behind it exactly.. because thats the point, when folder or file is behind that bar where you perform double-click, it will minimize the window + open that folder or file Actual result: Window minimized + folder opened Expected result: Just window minimized ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+19ubuntu14 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-26.30-generic 5.4.30 Uname: Linux 5.4.0-26-generic x86_64 .tmp.unity_support_test.0: ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27 Architecture: amd64 BootLog: Error: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/log/boot.log' CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: None CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Mon Apr 27 09:17:55 2020 DistUpgraded: Fresh install DistroCodename: focal DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes GraphicsCard: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
