We had most languages reviewed and fixed within 24 hours on the l10n
list. This is quite impressive. Having placeholders helped a lot. Still,
those where we still have unreviewed Google translations in a few days
should maybe be changed back to English, to avoid the scam site effect
(machine translation) and avoid the risk to confuse visitors about the
fact that this is the official download site.

Especialyl every page with non-latin characters is difficult to manage if
you don't have the skills for understandling at least a bit.

 So, I tend to agree.

Hi Marcus,

Would you please help to upload the main page ( as reattached) I
translated for Traditional Chinese?
I turned off the call-for-help message and translated the most part of
the page except the recent news and the recent blog post.
The old one ( which is archived now in svn ) still talked about
OpenOffice 3.4, giving me an impression that page ( or the support of
the language ) is not well maintained.
How are the recent news and the recent blog post handled in different
languages?
How do you guys keep them synchronized among languages?

Regarding download page for simplified Chinese,It's more like two
different dialects where I can understand but I'm not able to express
properly.
However I've seen that both main page and download page translated,
which is good enough already.

OK, that would be good.

In the interest of time, the fixed sites got only a mini-workover as
only the main download box portion was changed, eliminating the inline
javascript and replacing with the new js function call -- thus the
minimal amount of translated strings in the
msg_prop-I10n_xx.js files.

And, leaving the rest of the html sections of the pages -- social links,
extensions, additional resources, in tact.

So the modified download sites look quite a bit different from our main
English version download page.
