To confirm that you would like

removed from the dev mailing list, please send a short reply
to this address:

dev-uc.1580174999.kokdbbljhnlhldncebhj-larry.gusaas=gmail@openoffice.apache.org

Usually, this happens when you just hit the "reply" button.
If this does not work, simply copy the address and paste it into
the "To:" field of a new message.

or click here:

I haven't checked whether your address is currently on the mailing list.
To see what address you used to subscribe, look at the messages you are
receiving from the mailing list. Each message has your address hidden
inside its return path; for example, m...@xdd.ff.com receives messages
with return path: -mary=xdd.ff@openoffice.apache.org.

Some mail programs are broken and cannot handle long addresses. If you
cannot reply to this request, instead send a message to
and put the entire address listed above
into the "Subject:" line.

RE: Fwd: Warning from dev@openoffice.apache.org

2014-12-28 Thread Dennis E. Hamilton
The fact of receiving the warning message is a fair indication that the
problem, whatever it is, has dissipated. I see these from time to time. I
shrug them off as some sort of list system weirdness, although it could also be
that my affinity account (@acm) is not responding somehow and I am not seeing
all of the current posts on a list. Whatever it is, it seems to be a transient
phenomenon.

As far as I know, there is little to be done on our receiving end, since we
don't have enough information to know what is happening nor, usually, any means
to intervene.

2014-12-27 Thread Lee Fisher
I also just received one.

I've also received a warning from the user list a few days ago.

Since I'm using gmail as my provider, I'm not sure how to respond to the
warning, gmail admins should be receiving this warning if their service
is failing.

This email account is only used to subscribe to the openoffice and
libreoffice mailing lists, nothing else.

Why the warning? How to resolve things?

Thanks,

You get these messages because our mailer cannot sent mail to you mailbox
after several retries. If your mail server (in your case google) is down
for a short period our mail program simply retries, but if e.g. your
mailbox is full, google will not accept the mail and rejects it, when that
has happened a couple of times the message below will be generated.

Most of the bounces are due to a full mailbox, so controlling that is one
step.

Hi,

sorry to bother, I receive messages like the following every once in a
while (the last one was a couple of months ago).

Looks pretty similar to:

I'm not sure if it is generalized or just me.

Is there anything I can do on my side?
Is it worth reporting when it happens?

Thanks.

Messages to you from the dev mailing list seem to

I've kept a list of which messages from the dev mailing list have
bounced from your address.

going back is not the problem, I want to see 23 and 24. the newst I see is

Indeed, I see the same. There is definitively a problem.
I like mail-archive, I hope they will fix it soon.

I had a look at some of their other lists and it seems that we are not alone.
Some show no messages after Nov. 20th.

With the URL as you give it, I get messages back to 12 November 2013, with a

Tutorials for Apache OpenOffice 4.0 are not finished. You find some
starts in http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Category:Documentation/Draft.

Another good reference are the "Tutorials" sections of the forum
http://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/

You are likely looking for basics. In this case you can use older
tutorials and tutorials for LibreOffice as well. Those were produced by
"odfauthors" http://www.odfauthors.org. You need not to have a login for
getting the published files.

Do not hesitate to ask. Find ways to support on
