Re: [VOTE] Release Wicket 6.0.0 final

This vote passes with 8 binding +1's and 1 non-binding +1, no other votes
were cast.

I'll start preparing the mirrors and maven central. The announcement might
have to wait for a PR campaign.

Please vote for releasing the following source artifacts after

  - tag: wicket-6.0.0
  - release branch: builds/wicket-6.0.0
  - artifacts:
- apache-wicket-6.0.0.tar.gz
- apache-wicket-6.0.0.zip

They can be found at my p.a.o place:
 http://people.apache.org/~dashorst/wicket-6.0.0

I have uploaded the signatures and hashes as well. I also signed the
release tag (wicket-6.0.0). Probably you can sign the tag as well if
you find the release to be OK (I haven't done such a thing myself, so
you need to look it up somewhere—Emond?)

 [ ] +1 release Apache Wicket 6.0.0
 [ ] -1 don't release Apache Wicket 6.0.0

This vote lasts for 4 days, due to the weekend coming up. I'll tally
 tuesday morning CET.

I don't have anything major with 6.0 yet so I gave my training
application a quickdirty port to 6.0 from 1.5. Everything seems to
work fine after a few adjustments.

What about https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WICKET-4705?
We have about 10 wicket applications, including an ecommerce website
running wicket, but we use the autocomplete a lot.

Thanks

Hi Diego,

Any help is welcome. I wasn't able to find a solution.
You may try with https://github.com/ivaynberg/wicket-select2. It is
much better than the autocompleter in wicket-extenstions.
