[Dev] About process for creating a sequence and store in registry

2015-09-22 Thread Jorge
Hi folks.

In WSO2 ESB 4.9.0 I try the following:

   1. Copy from an older ESB version a sequence.
   2. Go to WSO2 ESB 4.9.0, clic in Sequences menu, clic en Add Sequences
   and then clic in switch to source view

   3. Paste the XML with the mediator defined for the sequence.
   4. Clic Save in Registry.
   5. Select Governance Registry and put this entry sequencev6/testsequence
   6. Clic Save and Close

At this point the sequence was stored as this:

http://ws.apache.org/ns/synapse"/>

The work around was after point 3 clic in switch to design view

and
then proceed to point 4.
No validation or information to the user with an alert for this issue.

Regards,
Jorge

[Dev] APIM- Gateway environments

2015-09-22 Thread Udara Liyanage
Hi,

[1] I am trying to do what described in [1]. I have two APIMs in two
regions.

In APIM1 , I added second APIM as an environment.

Gateway B
https://apim2.com:9443/services/

admin
admin
http://apim2.com:8280,
https://apim2.com:8243

In APIM2 , I pointed APIM as the Key manager.

https://apim1:9443/services/
admin
admin

Now when I create an API in APIM, artifacts are successfully published to
APIM2 too as expected. I manually check the artifacts and both has the same
API artifacts.

Then I tried accessing the API from APIM1 which got succeeded.
However when I try to access the API from APIM2, I get the following error
message

*No matching resource found in the API for the given
requestAccess failure for API: /sample/v1,
version: v1 with key: c0dca4351fa3f074cd52a6087409743. Check the API
documentation and add a proper REST resource path to the invocation URL*

[Dev] Platform test - Copy files to another servers conf directory.

2015-09-22 Thread Irham Iqbal
Hi All,

I am writing a platform test for APIM scenario[1]. In this I need to copy
some epr files to BPS conf directory before start BPS. In order to do that
 I need BPS home directory, BPS can be in another machine as well. I
thought of copy the necessary files to the BPS pack manually before start
the BPS. Any ideas to automate this please ?

Hi Dhanushka,
In APIM we used FileReader[1] to read imported file from file system. I
think you can use the file writer[2] in your case.

[Dev] WSO2 Complex Event Processor 4.0.0 Released !!

2015-09-22 Thread Thilini Anoratna
The WSO2 CEP team is pleased to announce the release of version 4.0.0 of
Open Source WSO2 Complex Event Processor.

WSO2 Complex Event Processor (CEP) is a lightweight, easy-to-use, open
source Complex Event Processing server (CEP). It identifies the most
meaningful events within the event cloud, analyzes their impact, and acts
on them in real-time. It's built to be extremely high performing with WSO2
Siddhi and massively scalable using Apache Storm.

WSO2 CEP is built up on the award-winning, WSO2 Carbon platform, which is
based on the OSGi framework enabling better modularity for your service
oriented architecture (SOA). WSO2 Carbon framework contains many enhanced
features and optional components to customize the behavior of the server
through simple, point-and-click provisioning. The CEP can be tightly
integrated with WSO2 Data Analytics Server, by adding support for recording
and post processing events with Map-Reduce via Apache Spark, and WSO2
Machine Learner for predictive analytics.

WSO2 Complex Event Processor is released under Apache Software License
Version 2.0, one of the most business-friendly licenses available today.

If you have created the API from APIM1 , then API meta data has stored in
 APIM1 databases (registry and AM db). AFAIU you need to share the
databases (registry and AM db) with APIM2

Hi Ajith,

APIM2 is only acting as a gateway. The only difference to have two
distributed gateways[1]is when APIs are created in API1, it should be
available in APIM2 too.

Hi irham,
for file transfer automation works you can use file inbound endpoint [1].
you can set the file pattern ant the time then it will automatically run in
background and do the works.

@Kasun. I went through the code. We will be able to add a fix for this soon.

Re: [Dev] APIM- Gateway environments

2015-09-22 Thread Malintha Adikari
Hi Udara,

I faced the same problem and ended up with the error message you have
mentioned above. In my case I have enabled dep-sync in both gateway nodes
and used WSClient client type. There was a configuration issue in my
dep-sync configuration and it was the root cause for my issue. Have you
enabled dep-sync in gateway nodes in your deployment ? If you have enabled
dep-sync , you can cleanup existing artifacts and retry if possible.

Re: [Dev] Writing binary data to a file with Jaggery

2015-09-22 Thread Sajith Ariyarathna
Hi Madusanka,

The code snippet you mentioned [1] *does not work* in Jaggery as it meant
to be run in the client-side.

[1]
https://github.com/wso2/carbon-apimgt/blob/carbon-apimgt-v1.9.0/features/apimgt/org.wso2.carbon.apimgt.publisher.feature/src/main/resources/publisher/site/themes/default/templates/item-design/js/api-design.js#L681

Hi Dhanushka,

You can use File object [2] in Jaggery to read, write files. If you are not
satisfied with it, you can always use Java classes in your Jaggery code.

var log = new Log();

var content = "This is the content to write into file";
try {
var file = new Packages.java.io.File("myfile.txt"); // path to file
if (!file.exists()) {
log.info("File '" + file.getAbsolutePath() + "' does not
exists.");
file.createNewFile();
log.info("File '" + file.getAbsolutePath() + "' created.");
}

var fw = new Packages.java.io.FileWriter(file);
var bw = new Packages.java.io.BufferedWriter(fw);
bw.write(content);
bw.close();

log.info("Content written successfully.");
} catch (e) {
log.error("Could not write to file.");
log.error(e);
}

Hi Kasun,

Seems like the wso2carbon.pid file (which contains the process id of the
server) is not generated by the server. Haven't gone through the code level.

Until finding a proper solution what you can do is, after starting the
server create a wso2carbon.pid file in the root folder and add the carbon
process id.
You can get the carbon process id by jps command. Not sure this is a
feasible workaround for your perf-testing scenario,

Hi,

- I looked into this a little further yesterday and it's to do with when we
take the IP address. The IP changes per start up of the container but we
don't copy the files to the new /mnt//... location they remain on the
original /mnt/.  At least - that's the obvious thing I noticed !

 Hi All,

 I discussed this with Hasitha, and above approach is possible. There is
 one change should be done that use taskInitiator instead of
 businessAdministrators
 because businessAdministrators has more permission than we expect.
 Then we can call 'skip' operation against taskid to exit the workflow
 request (*HumanTaskClientAPIAdmin*). After we exit from the human
 task, it should be release the bpel process and to do that we have to
 enable TaskCoordinationEnabled option in b4p-coordination-config.xml
 and humantask.xml files.

 @Chamila, We need to prepare bpel/ht package for this and call
 *HumanTaskClientAPIAdmin* from the IS to skip the workflow request.

 Thanks.

Thanks for doing this again and
When you do this, please add the role as we did now and add an user that is
reading from the request. Then there will be a role to add any user to get
this rights except the user who initiated the request.

 Hi Harsha/Hasitha,

 So when creating a request, we are assigning the user who initiated it
 as the taskInitiator for human tasks associated with it. If so I need
 to clarify following points regarding that.

- Is the 'taskInitiator' per ht role/property?

 Task initiator Configuration will look like this.

Re: [Dev] WSO2 Carbon Common Puppet Module

2015-09-22 Thread Akila Ravihansa Perera
Hi Imesh,

Since this module is not really being used by other modules rather it is
the only Puppet module that exists for PPaaS; shall we give it a generic
name? wso2carbon could be confusing with our Carbon product.

For eg: ppaas_deployer

wdyt?

Thanks.

Re: [Dev] WSO2 Carbon Common Puppet Module

2015-09-22 Thread Gayan Gunarathne
That puppet modules contains the products based on the WSO2 carbon. I think
it is OK to name as wso2carbon or wso2servers. If we use the ppaas_deployer
, it may reflect the meaning that all the deploying artifacts are within
that folder.

Thanks,
Gayan

Re: [Dev] WSO2 Carbon Common Puppet Module

2015-09-22 Thread Akila Ravihansa Perera
Hi Gayan,

I don't see the relevance to name a Puppet module wso2carbon because all
products are based on Carbon. All I'm saying is this could be confusing to
an end user since we have a separate product called wso2carbon. I was only
giving a suggestion, we can rename it to something like "wso2_installer".
Does it make more sense?

Thanks.

Re: [Dev] [Private PaaS] Plain text file creates instead of a json file, after running the Configurator

Hi Dinithi,

This is happening because openstack.json template is not having .template
prefix.
Therefore in [1] file name should be changed to openstack.json.template.

Re: [Dev] Getting error while installing features to IS 5.0.0 pack using pom

2015-09-22 Thread Dinusha Boteju
Hi Krishantha,

Currently the APIs that we have used in the p2 plugin is not supporting
updating any installed features. So for the moment if there are any
updating operations, then you have to use the management console.

Updating operation requires checking any existing dependencies. Thus one
approach would be to incorporate "update feature functionality"
implementation in carbon kernel into the p2 plugin which is quite complex.
(Feature installation process in p2 plugin is different from that of carbon
platform)

Will try to incorporate this into p2-profile-gen by fixing the bug soon.

Thanks,
Dinusha

[Dev] [Private PaaS] Plain text file creates instead of a json file, after running the Configurator

2015-09-22 Thread Dinithi De Silva
Hi Anuruddha,

I got an issue while trying to deploy a sample application in Openstack. I
have followed the instructions given in [1].

After running the configurator, the sample file has been created in the
/product-private-paas/samples/network-partitions/openstack
folder but as a plain text file, instead of a json file.

There after, I could not deploy the application. I got the following error.

Couldn't read data from file
"/home/dinithi/Github/NEW/product-private-paas/samples/network-partitions/openstack/network-partition-openstack.json",
this makes an empty POST.

This happened only with network partition file. Cartridge json files are
created as expected.

Thanks.

 Hi Anuruddha,

 IMO it would be better to call $subject wso2carbon instead of

 Thanks

 We don't have an immediate requirement to have these fixes for ESB as

 Any reason to treat the following config parameters differently, than
 other config parameters?

 CONFIG_PARAM_CLUSTERING=false
 CONFIG_PARAM_DOMAIN=wso2.carbon.domain
 CONFIG_PARAM_WKA_MEMBERS=[127.0.0.1:4000]
 CONFIG_PARAM_LOCAL_MEMBER_HOST=127.0.0.1
 CONFIG_PARAM_LOCAL_MEMBER_PORT=4000
 CONFIG_PARAM_PORT_OFFSET=0
 CONFIG_PARAM_MB_PORT=61616
 CONFIG_PARAM_EMBEDDED_LDAP=true

 These are enabled in module.ini file by default, where as other
 parameters are disabled. And the default values of these config elements
 are removed from templates files and moved to module.ini.

 This is not consistent with other config parameters. Because of this,
 we always have to pass these parameters to configurator, even though we
 don't need to override the default ones.

 By accident, I commented out all the config parameters from module.ini
 and I have passed only the needed parameters to the configurator as
 environment variables via puppet. I ended up with some issues since I
 haven't pass the above parameters as environment variables (even though I
 don't want to override the default ones!). So isn't good if leave the
 default values in the template files itself? This way, we don't have
 explicitly pass the default values, just like other config parameters.

 wdyt?

 Thanks,
 Raj.

[Dev] [DEV] carbonapps artifact limit per folder

2015-09-22 Thread Seshika Fernando
Hi guys,

I'm trying to create a capp for a deployment which has a significant amount
of artifacts. This is to be deployed in DAS. When I try to deploy the car
file I get the error below.

[2015-09-22 17:27:26,658] ERROR
{org.wso2.carbon.application.deployer.handler.DefaultAppDeployer} -
 event/execution-plan type must have a single file to be deployed. But 28
files found.
[2015-09-22 17:27:26,658] ERROR
{org.wso2.carbon.event.application.deployer.EventProcessingAppDeployer} -
 Synapse artifact types must have a single file to be deployed. But 28
files found..

I get the same error for streams as well since I have 18 files. If I create
separate folders for each artifact, then I can deploy it without a problem.
(I tried this out on just 2 streams)

Is there a better solution to this? Especially in situations where we have
large amounts of artifacts, creating such a complex folder structure is
tedious.

Notet:- I did not try this on DevStudio. Will DevStudio create the folder
structure for me?

Re: [Dev] [Vote] Release WSO2 Carbon Kernel 4.4.2 RC1

2015-09-22 Thread Indika Sampath
Hi Kausn,

We had same issue [1] reported above by Yassasri [2] in carbon-kernel 4.4.0
with MySQL database. But it has fixed by Indunil [3] in carbon 4.4.x
branch. I was tested it in MySQL and didn't encounter issue. We build a
pack with carbon-kernel 4.4.2 RC1 tested with Oracle database. Now we are
observing same issue and we need to fixed it. Because this is a blocker for
MB. We couldn't add like more than 20 subscriptions at a same time to MB
due to this.
