[Dev] [UUF] Renaming artifact IDs and directory names of foundation component and default theme

2017-01-12 Thread Shan Mahanama
Hi all,

Following the proposed UUF naming conventions (see attachment), we will
rename the foundation component and the default theme in the UUF Commons
repo [1] as below.

   - Artifact ID and the directory name of the foundation component will be
   changed to *org.wso2.carbon.uuf.common.foundation.ui*
   - Artifact ID and the directory name of the default theme will be
   renamed to *org.wso2.carbon.uuf.common.theme.default.theme*

[1] https://github.com/wso2/carbon-uuf-common

Thanks,
Shan.

[Dev] Random scrolling when clicking on Profile -> Default/Employee links

2017-01-12 Thread KasunG Gajasinghe
Hi Minoli,

The HTML pages scrolls randomly when clicking on sub-items in the tab-view
in IS 6 User Portal. As you mentioned, there are some changes required from
styling side to fix this.

Can we get a rough date on when this will be available? Please note that we
a week away from the M1.

Thanks,
KasunG

Re: [Dev] Polymorphic in the JAX-RS Service Interface in JSON

2017-01-12 Thread wenxing zheng
I am trying to introduce the JsonCreator with extra attributes: animalType.
But it seemed the Factory constructor is never being called?

*@JsonCreator*
*public static Animal factoryDataSource(@JsonProperty("animalType")
AnimalType animalType){*
* if (animalType == AnimalType.Dog){*
* return new Dog();*
* }*
* else{*
* return new Cat();*
* }*
*}*

By the way, I am working on AS 5.3.0. Appreciated for your advice.

Kind Regards, Wenxing

[Dev] Polymorphic in the JAX-RS Service Interface in JSON

2017-01-12 Thread wenxing zheng
Dear all,

I have an interface to create a object, like the followings. My question
is: *how to annotate the Animal and Dog/Cat to make sure the input "animal"
can be the instance of Dog/Cat after de-serialization?*

My expectation is that the service createAnimal can be used for all the
sub-classes of Animal.

public class Animal { // All animals have names, for our demo purposes...
 public String name;
 protected Animal() { }
  }

  public class Dog extends Animal {
public double barkVolume; // in decibels
public Dog() { }
  }

  public class Cat extends Animal {
boolean likesCream;
public int lives;
public Cat() { }
  }

@Path("/zoo")
public interface ZooService{
@POST
@Path("/")
@Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
@Consumes(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
@CSDNSecure
Response createAnimal(Animal animal);
}

If the admin of tenant1.com (eg:ad...@tenant1.com) initiate the request,

Yes. This was done not just in Jaggery, some of our Mgt console JSP UI
pages also have this incorrect behavior. In Java, use of Servlets for
handling POSTs is quite clear. But, how it should be handled in a framework
like UUF? (Or Jaggery for that matter?)

On, how to do a form in UUF. Currently, this is how we are handling it --

$ cat sample.js
function onRequest(env) {
if (env.request.method == "POST" &&
env.request.formParams["formId"]="myform")

Re: [Dev] [UUF] Document onRequest() method in the UUF developer's guide

2017-01-12 Thread Manuranga Perera
@UUF team

It's OK to provide a POST in theory, but we have to see what they are going
to do with it. I think they are trying to do a self accepting page.
In Jaggery is was very hard to unsaturated the code when same code is
responsible for showing and adding (let say a new user).
Let's not repeat that error.

And it's a very common use cause to show whet you just added.

So UUF, Please don't just impalement the feature, think about the full use
case and give a sample (eg: should they use ajax to submit button?, should
it go to the same page or different page, if error occurred on POST where
is that viewed? maybe ask UX?)

Let's give a sample on "how to do a form in UUF". Let's have a chat if
needed.

Re: [Dev] Willing to Contribute in Machine Learning Projects

2017-01-12 Thread Satyarth Praveen
Hi,
I've gone through the WSO2 software (and I love it).
I know core Java concepts, but I have mostly coded in R when it comes to
machine learning.

So, if there's something in Java that'll help me get along, it'll be great.

Thanks,
Satyarth

 Hi,

 I am Satyarth and I am willing to contribute to WSO2.
 I have been involved in the field of Machine Learning for a while now
 and wish to contribute to a similar project.

 I found *carbon-ml* and *product-ml* repositories in WSO2 that match

 It'll be great if someone could help me figure out how to proceed or if
 there is a better machine learning project that I could work.

 Thank you

[Dev] User Creation

2017-01-12 Thread Koné Alioune Badara
Hello,

I'm using the rest method of this documentation for the user creation
through askPassword:

https://docs.wso2.com/display/IS530/Creating+Users+using+the+Ask+Password+Option#CreatingUsersusingtheAskPasswordOption-UsingtheRESTAPI

Can you tell me how can I fill in the tenantId of the tenant in which I
want to create the user? Because I tried using the soap method, it works
very well for the super tenant, but not the tenants under. It seems like
the tenant name is not send to the server and so it is trying to find the
confirmation code for users in the super tenant.

Re: [Dev] [ESB 5] Validate Mediator class not found

2017-01-12 Thread Federico Valeri
I don't have this JAR in /repository/components/lib.
Anyway I can confirm that after installing "Data Service Hosting" feature I
have two version of the databind bundle.
I need the DSS component for the test but I would prefer to have one single
runtime.

Still the same error..

Yes you can, but sometimes edge cases like this can happen, I checked in
the latest DSS as well, even in that, DSS uses jackson-databind version
2.6.1.wso2v1
So for the time being, can you remove that
jar(jackson-databind_2.6.1.wso2v1) from your
/repository/components/lib folder and try this?

Note that above suggestion is not recommended if you are using this for
production like situation, because it may affect new fixes etc.

Re: [Dev] [ESB 5] Validate Mediator class not found

2017-01-12 Thread Federico Valeri
Hi, I think that I'm missing the import on jackson-databind with the same
version of jackson-core (I have two versions of the databind):

- jackson-core_2.6.1.wso2v1 [92]
- jackson-databind_2.6.1.wso2v3 [93]
- jackson-databind_2.6.1.wso2v1 [94] <-- can't see the filter package here

Probably this is due to the DSS feature setup
Can I install the DSS feature on top of the ESB?

Re: [Dev] [ESB 5] Validate Mediator class not found

2017-01-12 Thread Rajith Vitharana
Hi Federico,

You can see which bundle export which package in OSGI console. To do that
follow below instructions.

1) Start the server with command "sh wso2server.sh -DosgiConsole=true"
2) After server started run the command "ss jackson-core" this will show
the bundle Id
3) Then run the command "b " ex - b 71
4) Above command will show the exported packages by that bundle. So you can
see whether the "com.fasterxml.jackson.core.filter" package is correctly
exported there.

And further more seems you have installed DSS features in ESB, so can you
try out the same scenario with standalone pack without any feature
installation?

Thanks,

Hi Rajkumar,

You have mentioned that,

because the very first request to API Store will land on jaggery_acs.jag

What do you mean by very first request? Is it before login to IDP? I guess,
Before login to IDP, users shouldn't be allowed to access a protected
resource if IDP initiated SSO is configured. Can you clarify?

How can I check the osgi bundles that you reported?
