I have an HTC Desire connected to the same network as my Squeezebox server (v7. 5.3 on Win 7) via Wi-Fi. When I run this app it doesn't find my server players, it just asks me to try again. I am using security on my Squeezebox server. Any ideas? Squeeze Commander works perfectly in the same circumstances. I've just tried the same thing. I bumped up the log level for anything scanning related, the log file only shows the last successfully scanned directory. after looking at the scanner log, it looks like it was a bad track from an album causing the problem. I removed that album and rescanned and it went through without a problem. [slim] Does Slacker premium services synch?
I am trying to synchronize a Slacker stacked playlist with multiple players in our home. I am finding that it is not possible to sync with other players. Is this just a normal lack of synching functionality for Slacker? Slacker may limit the number of streams per account to a single stream. I ran into a similar issue with Pandora premium - it would sync a few songs and then stop. You should be able to Sync if using SBS, that way MySB and Slacker should see only a single stream. I have today sent a new email with some bugs - and a video to demonstrate the bug. I am unsure at present whether the bug is an Android App bug or a server bug. However I do know that I am unable to rate any tracks (or at least the android app doesn't show that they have been rated. I will do some more digging via the web interface to see if rating a track does actually rate it. I did contemplate the idea of trying to get external access to the squeezebox server but for obvious reasons didn't want unauthenticated access to the server so I enabled basic auth security. Unfortunately I was unable to find ANY android app that will connect to stream.mp3 while it has basic auth enabled. So in the end I gave up and installed Subsonic on the server and phone which works wonders and squeezeboxserver and subsonic sit happily together on the same machine. Yes Squeezecommander supports password protected SqueezeboxServers but you cannot play an audio stream via it. I've just tried this, but I'm afraid I'm very disappointed with the performance. On my Orange San Francisco (re-badged ZTE Blade - a current budget model), it is so painfully slow to be unusable. Scrolling through a list of Artists / Albums etc. is dreadful - I'll drag my finger over the list at a very moderate speed, and nothing will happen until my finger has left the screen. Sometime it will then do a jerky scroll, and sometimes it will think I've actually selected an item. Squeeze Commander on the other hand is fine on this phone. Ideally I would like to have the possibility to cutomize each level of ui, so inexperienced users (friends) are not mixed by unecessary stuff.
