Re: [slim] SqueezePlay - presets .... how?

2013-07-12 Thread castalla

It seems that there is a preset setting key in Squeezeplay - it's the !
key - BUT it only sets preset 1

Is there a way to modify the key mapping to set up preset setting for
keys 2-6 ?

[slim] BBC Radio Streams - Title Art doesn't update

2013-07-12 Thread phil5556

Hi

I've posted in General as it isn't specific to one of my players, it
happens on them all (Touch, Duet Radio).

When listening to live BBC streams (6Music is the main radio station I
listen to) the title and art doesn't update when the show changes. It
takes a LMS restart to lose the old title and reload the current one.
Stopping restarting the radio station doesn't fix it, neither does
listening to anything for any amount of time between listening to the
station.

It's not a major issue but a bit of a niggle.

I think the feed I use was found through TuneIn - this is the URL
http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s44491partnerId=16username=*

Other feeds either have no art/titles or just a 6Music icon that never
changes.

LMS 7.8.

Cheers in advance if anyone can help.

Phil

Re: [slim] Pre-Announcement: ickStream Music Platform

2013-07-12 Thread mps

Excited about the product. Your newsletter talks about powerful
heterogeneous playlists. One thing I would like to see is to put a work
on the playlist as if it were a track. E.g.,

1. Aaron Copland - Fanfare for the Common Man (A single track)
2. J.S. Bach - Goldberg Variations (A work with 32 variations)
3. J.S. Bach - Lute Suite in Cm - 3. Sarabande (A single track)

This would be much better than having to looks through 32 items on the
playlist to see what's next. Of course, the classical music would be
tagged with work info. I understand that there are some conceptual
challenges to this (E.g., Would the skip button skip you to the next
work or the next track? How would the track be shown? etc.) making a
playlist a little more like a playtree than a playlist. However, few
if any streamers handle classical worth a hill of beans (I use a highly
customized SQL CustomBrowse menu in LMS that I can share to handle
browsing, so there is room for improvement on that level as well). If
one could really crack the classical nut, that would be a real
distinguisher

Re: [slim] ANN: Orange Squeeze 1.3.0 released!

This is quite annoying. When toggling Don't stop the music in the
Smart Mix plugin under Smart Mix Options, Orange Squeeze takes nearly 60
seconds on my Galaxy S.

That's not OrangeSqueeze's fault, the plugin doesn't correctly update
the menu.

No link but I found the Bluesound stuff today at a local store. The Node
is $500, Powernode is $700. The others I didn't ask about.

Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] SqueezePlay for Mac OSX

I have been trying to make my first shell script to do what I am doing
manually in the terminal. I assumed it could be like a bat file and just
click on it and it would execute my three little lines

Hi Darren

Let me offer you a solution.

Load Automator in Applications. Choose 'Application' for your new
document. Type into the search actions box: 'run shell script'.

Type in the script:

export USEPADEVICE=XMOS USB 2.0 Audio Out
export USEPAMAXSAMPLERATE=192000
open /Applications/SqueezePlay.app

Save the file. It is now an application like any other - you can
double-click to run, put it on the dock, etc. To give it the Squeezeplay
icon, locate the real Squeezeplay in Finder and select Get Info - click
on the icon to highlight it, then copy and paste it into the Get Info of
your newly created app.

hope this helps you achieve what you wanted
