I just scored a couple of 8 TB NAS drives. I'll wait for a sale, and get two more. I checked the Madsonic forum and the process is similar, via logging into the NAS via the Madsonic service. My only concern is that transferring all this music to the NAS will take days but I'm not in a hurry, and I can leave the status quo in place during the transfer process. http://zzzone.net http://have-a-nice-day.org http://www.last.fm/user/zzzoneDOTnet http://somethingsomethingsomething.net SBS 7.9 - i7 nuc - Win 10 64bit 5 Booms, 2 Radio, 3 Touch, 1 Duet, 5 piCorePlayers including 3 touchscreen, 1 Avy 2 controllers, various tablets/phones Apps including iPeng, Squeeze Ctrl etc. 'Library' (http://zzzone.net/photo/2009/music1.jpg): 397,000+ FLAC/MP3 files - 18 TB HD jimzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17592 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109946 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Another odd little problem. I'm going to assume this is not an encoding problem and the files themselves play ok on other playback systems without volume fluctuations. -Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk- -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs. Re: [slim] Volume levels fluctuating during a track
No idea. But to diagnose Id first unsync the players and try one at a time to see if this occurs on a single player. If it does not, Id synch only one player at a time to see if that is the issue. The idea is that perhaps it is one of the players causing the issue. Also, what is your server and player logs showing at the time this happens. [slim] Volume levels fluctuating during a track
Hi there everyone, I've tried my best to research this issue and now resorting to brains trust on the forum. My volume is fluctuating during a given track. It's only subtle changes but noticeable and quite annoying. Not a volume issue when changing tracks which is well documented. Here is some information, - Configuration is 3 Squeezebox 3's and 2 booms all synced together and volume levels locked - When the volume levels change it doesn't seem to be isolated to one device, it happens across the devices - It happens regardless of local or streamed content - 95% of the time the volume is OK. When the problem happens the volume will dip for a while and then recover. - All of the devices are running analogue outputs - Volume Adjustment/Replay Gain is turned off on all devices - The volume level indication doesn't change on either ipeng or the devices themselves Hope that someone out there might have an idea what is going on.
