The windows desktop app of spotify seems to find the squeezebox radio, but my android app on my phone doesn't, even if the radio is on. Is that normal behaviour? I think my response to this (rather popular) question always starts with an "it's complicated". Visibility of a player not only depends on the player itself, but the client configuration, too. Are you on the same network? Are your apps configured to only show local players or not? Is Spotty configured to not do local announcements? I may not completely understand what you have in mind, but a new Dynamic Playlist plugin has just been released, replacing the old one, which is no longer supported. For some of your criteria, you could also use the Advanced Search feature to create a Library View that contains only the tracks that meet certain criteria,and then play a random mix using only tracks in that library view. Is it possible to have my squeezebox radio's listed in the spotify app as endpoints? So my radio can be used as a speaker to listen to my spotify playlists, with my smartphone as a rmote control. [slim] Squeezebox Classic V3 dead?
My SB classic V3 has been my number one music player for the last 15
years. Connected with my 25 year old Sony Integrated Amp it never failed
on me.
Untill today...
The display won't wake up. I power-cycled the unit, unplugged the power
adapter for more than 5 minutes before reconnecting. Nothing. I hear a
popping sounds when connecting the power with my amp powered on. So I
guess the power adaptor is working.
I can see the SB connecting on LMS ("Woonkamer") (version Logitech Media
Server Versie: 8.1.1 - 1610364019 @ Thu Jan 14 06:27:19 CET 2021) and I
can play a tune without any errors occuring in the LMS log.

Whatever I do, there is no display and no music! This is bad. Any
ideas?! Is this the end of my SB classic!!??

Last night my Squeezebox refused to lull me to sleep. Attempts to turn it on with the remote were met with a screen message "Connect time out". However this lunchtime I find that I can still control the device from the Squeezebox web site "Mysqueezebox.com" but not from an Android device. Can anyone help solve this please? I got an email from them that they will upgrade my old mp3 subscription to the losless subscription for the same price (as a "Thank you" for being a loyal customer). My guess is that this is a reaction to the acquisition of Primephonics by Apple. Because now Apple will introduce a new "Apple Music" app specifically targeted to classical music (with better search functions, better metadata etc.).
