SlimServer 6.5 Windows XP SP2 3.2Ghz 1G Ram, also doubles as general file server for Pixel MediaBox and Apache web server 11,000 files all MP3 Dozen or so playflists - used a lot 2 x Slimp3 - wired (these just keep on going) 1 x SB2 - wired Grab Playlist pluggin Everything stable since I turned off a very aggressive Aquarium screen save. Robin, I already use A so would need LA and as SlimServer uses MySQL that makes LAM. Because I use Jalbum and there is a skin that needs PHP for comments that would make LAMP ! Server version: 6.3.1 - 8476 - Linux - NL - utf8 2 modded SB2 Black. 629 albums 7433 songs 473 artists All propperly tagged FLAC files. Running on a Compaq EVO ultra slim PC (Celeron 1400, 256MB), with ClarkConnect 3,2 installed. Server is turned on by WOL, and automaticaly turned of when no player is active for 30 min. Mobo is an Asus A7V with a Seagate 250GB drive (the new perpindicular recording model). The only downer is that Solaris doesn't support my Ultra ATA-100 controller, so I have to fall back to the Ultra 66. Note: Lirc.pm only captures and retransmits button presses when a SqueezeBox is off (standby) or when you've selected 'Lirc Remote' from the Plugin menu. Now you must edit the mythtv .lircrc file to tell mythtv what buttons to react to and what to do when they are pressed. Note that Lirc.pm only forwards codes it recognizes. At the moment that means the slimdevices remote, but the code mapping can be changed at the end of the Lirc.pm file. No stutters, *ever*. Using a netgear wge111 to talk 802.11g over WPA to a linksys wrt54G that the server is wired to. The MySQL 5.x work with SlimServer 6.5 has made a huge difference from the SQlite days, and obviously light years from the 5.x stuff. Kudos, slim team and thanks!
