I'd suggest setting both Station Buffer and Station Timeout to MAX, see if that helps at all. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77428 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Same thing at 3:00 and 5:15, and at 6:00 it had disconnected again. The times I've checked, the SBR is blue when the Boom disconnects, and goes off again when the Boom connects. Are your players Synced? Is one player controlling another? Radio can operate as a Controller. If yes I'd try them all independent of each other, see what happens. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77428 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] connectivity issues with 7.5, possible solution
Yes, they've always been independent, but when one drops the other seems to, as well, even if one is on and the other off. I still suspect there's something different about the way the 2Wire Gateway/Router handles keep-alive messages back to MSB that makes MSB drop the connection. When I turn on the SBC it's like it wakes up the connection again for both. I'd consider getting a new modem, but this six month old one didn't have this problem until the latest SB update, and I'm hoping whatever the new problem is will be fixed. Great, I am glad to see this is helping some others. Perhaps Logitech might want to increase the defaults for these values a bit, to reduce problems in the future. Of course it would be interesting to know what change is causing the need. -- sharpnine sharpnine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23243 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77428 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] connectivity issues with 7.5, possible solution
I was running 7.4.2, without problems, but only for a few days before 7.5 came out. The firmware upgraded for 7.4.2 and I thought it upgraded again for 7.5. Perhaps I am wrong about this, and the connectivity with radio was a problem on 7.4.2 and I just hadn't bumped into it yet. Since it persisted when I went back to 7.4.2, what you say makes sense. In any case, I don't consider it a problem, given that adjusting network settings took care of it for me. I just thought I would offer a suggestion about that as so many others are reporting similar problems. -- sharpnine sharpnine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23243 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77428 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] connectivity issues with 7.5, possible solution
I was having playback issues with 7.5.0 and 7.5.1 on Rhapsody, Pandora, last.fm, and Sirius (Linux Fedora 11 platform running VortexBox). Playing via SBS through a Duet Receiver and Transporter. Reverting back to 7.4.2 cured the problem. I changed the Radio Station Buffer Seconds and Radio Station Timeout values as you suggested and installed the latest SBS 7.5.1 nightly (r30657). Rhapsody, Pandora, last.fm, and Sirius now seem to be playing fine. Re: [slim] connectivity issues with 7.5, possible solution
Seems to have worked for me, too. Thanks! (For the last week I couldn't go for more than a song or two using either my Boom or Duet on internet radio, Slacker or Pandora without it losing connection with MSB. They even both lost it several times a day when turned off. After changing this setting on both devices and rebooting the router they've both been running without problems for over 24 hours!) -- kc5f kc5f's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19652 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77428 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

sharpnine;535943 Wrote: I found this started happening after upgrading to 7.5, which immediately required my SB3 to have a firmware update. When I went back to 7.4.2, the other problem (apple lossless crashes) went away, but the Pandora/radio problem continued. I have noticed that my firmware did not update when going back (I am not sure if it should have, but I think I read in another thread that it should have). This leads me to believe the new SB3 firmware is the source of the problem. It was the only thing that remained after uninstalling 7.5 and reverting to 7.4.2. What server version were you running before? Between 7.4.x and 7.5.x there should not be any new FW for the SB3. Since most users have been running that version since september whithout much grief I don't think it's that clear cut who is the culprit. -- alfista alfista's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32396 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77428 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
