Good news for those who use iPeng with VoiceOver, Apples accessibility feature for users with vision impairments. Since iOS 13 came out, there was an issue in iPeng that prevented VoiceOver users from accessing the MultiPlayer control, meaning they were unable to switch players and reach player settings. This was due to a change in how iOS handled the assignment of visible items to items made accessible through VoiceOver. iPeng 9.7.1 now contains a long-awaited fix for this issue. Unfortunately fixing the problem wasnt easy and took us quite a while, so we would like to take the opportunity to apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank our customers for their patience. In addition to this, the update speeds up artist image rendering significantly, fixes the text color for Search and Web Browsing in dark mode, and contains smaller improvements like better handling of dialog boxes on newer iPhone models. Except for the changes in artist image rendering, all of the above applies to both iPeng and iPeng ue. No, currently it's not back. I found that the old code just isn't portable to iOS 11 so the plan currently is to re-implement it based on the upcoming (for a while, unfortunately) iPeng redesign. ETA would be around the release of iOS 13. Today weve launched version 9.4 of both iPeng 9 and iPeng ue, and as a headline feature, this update brings you full support for Apples latest phone, the iPhone X. With its new edge-to-edge screen, rounded corners and gesture control, it brings a few challenges to app migration from older phones, both from a design and usability point of view. iPeng 9.4 takes this into account by presenting itself with some smaller changes to its look on iPhone X and by adapting to the different screen format. Ah, I think I can reproduce what you mean. If you click into one of the player cells then the sliders become unresponsive, you need to very briefly hold the handle to move them around. Probably a problem I introduced when trying to fix the gesture recognizer precedence issues with iOS 11. Will try to get this fixed for the next update. I switched off party mode, closed app, re-opened and the same. I can unsynch and synch my players, and mute, I can pause/play all, and change master volume. Good news: We will keep the discount on iPeng 9 and iPeng ue open until Sunday, October 15th. Please read to the end if you are interested in the upgrade bundles. As you might have noticed, the discount we are giving on our current iPeng Apps on the occasion of the iOS 11 release has been extended and is still running. It was supposed to end on October 1st, but we will now leave it open until Sunday. The update rates for Apples current operating system havent been as fast as in the last few years, so a lot of people only started using the new operating system later. Also, there is an issue with upgrade bundles that confuses some people. So we decided to extend the offer to get on board the iPeng community at a discount. WHATS UP WITH THE UPGRADE BUNDLES? A lot of people have asked questions about the upgrade bundles on certain store fronts. There are two issues here: - Under iOS 11, the App Store shows a wrong price. There seems to be some issue on the App Store side making our bundles show the full price for both Apps, even if you already have purchased one of the Apps in the bundle. The way upgrade bundles work is that you have a price for purchasing both Apps together, and whatever you already paid for one of the Apps in the bundle will be deducted from the current price. This is often a bit confusing, especially if there have been exchange rate or tax changes. But now the App Store doesnt discount the old payment when showing the price at all, even when you click to purchase. The App Store actually charges the bundle correctly, meaning that after you confirm the purchase, it will inform you that the bundle is actually cheaper; but you have to take the risk to confirm the purchase (which is non-refundable!) first and hope you havent made a mistake like choosing the wrong bundle or wrong App Store account. We think this is not really acceptable, but since we have no other way to give upgrade discounts on the App Store, and we cant fix it (after all its Apples store), we think the general discount is a proper alternative. - On some store fronts, the upgrade bundles dont show at all. This is because the bundles only show up if the current price of the bundle is cheaper than the individual prices of the contained Apps. Due to the discount on iPeng 9, the two now typically cost the same, but this also depends on how the price translates into local currency on your store front. Since we cant set the price freely but only using Apples price tiers, we can Neither change nor influence this. I've tried every app on every platform. iPeng is by far the best value. Especially since it has to cover updates as well since there is no update pricing on the App Store. Especially since it's a low volume system I can't justify to work on it and invest money into it and then to sell it for peanuts. Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone else lost their piCorePlayer on iPeng when they upgraded to iOS 11? I just bought iPeng 9 yesterday; it worked fine, and i was quite pleased. I updated my iphone this morning, when prompted to do so, and now no players are found in iPeng. LMS is still working fine with the player. Am I missing something? Is there a solution? I tried uninstalling iPeng 9 from my phone and the re-downloading and re-installing, but still nothing. And unlike many apps, which are written then abandoned, iPeng receives regular updates and Pippin provides immediate support for problems and suggestions. No, this is not right. Please make sure you use the same App Store account on both devices. You should also then be able to see the app under "Purchases" in the App Store: open the "Today" tab and tap on your account image in the top right corner. If you then open "Purchases->My Purchases" you should see the App and be able to download it without a purchase. Otherwise: if you have the same account, purchasing the App again should be safe, the actual price will be determined by the App store server and if you really purchased the same App before with the same account you will not pay again but get the App for free. I just tested this with the upgrade bundles where the App Store stubbornly shows the full bundle price (for both Apps) under iOS 11 because iPeng Classic is no longer available for download under iOS 11 - but if I actually try to purchase the bundle in the end I'm still only charged the upgrade price. Sorry if you were missing the discount for iPeng ue, the price change didn't get through in the first round, it should be rolling out now. The new price (until end of September) is USD 6 (or equivalent tier 6 price in other countries, e.g. 7 in most EU countries).
