[dspace-tech] When deleting a sub community or collection it is instead moved to the community list.

2016-08-26 Thread Javier Fernandez
Hi, I'm having the following problem:

When the administrator of a community deletes a sub community or a
collection, instead of being deleted, they appear as if they were
communities in the main page. It requires a general administrator for them
to be deleted completely.

Anyone knows why?

[dspace-tech] Cloning DSpace from an AWS image

2016-08-26 Thread Rodrigo Calloni
Hello

We have DSpace 3 on Amazon Linux hosted in AWS.

We have the plan to move from one AWS account to another (from our private
account to a recently added corporate account).

So we built an AWS instance image and gave access to the new account and
the new server is up and running. However DSpace does not start.

We have adjusted the IPs on /etc/hosts and dspace.cfg but for some reason
the postgre database does not start up.

Is there anything we need to adjust in postgre in order to start it up?

Thanks
Rodrigo

2016-08-26 Thread Claudia Jürgen

Hi,

this is odd and should not be, with which version of DSpace and which UI
are you working.
Just tested it on our instance which uses en, de and set my browser to
en_nz and got an english page.

And the users firefox configuration is

So what i want is, this user should see the dspace on English language. But
currently it shows the Deutch. In order to see the English the user's
setting should be like this

intl.accept_languages = en,de

No country specific. So is there any way to drop the country part and take
only the language. cause there will be lots of varieties... like
en-uk,en-us.

[dspace-tech] Weird behavior when adding extra letters in browse pages (Mirage2 , v5.5)

2016-08-26 Thread Evelthon Prodromou

Hello,

I've done the necessary code changes in ConfigurableBrowse.java to add
extra letters. Browse by authors and subjects will display correctly all
letters. On the other hand, browse by title is not working correctly. The
first page displayed, displays only the stock 0-9 A...Z latin alphabet. Any
next page in the same browse context displays all characters, including the
added ones.

This got me puzzled. Any ideas what I should look into?

Thank you,

Evelthon
