2020-09-10 Thread Martin Schneider

Dear Markus,

to my knowledge it is not so easy to find some IDE that can resolve all
your errors when using templates.
I am using Visual Studio Code and there it seems that the error handling
also causes some problems  (see for example
https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode-cpptools/issues/1014).
In the past I also used eclipse and I simply disabled some of the error
messages, because I also haven't been able to resolve all of them.

Best regards,
Martin

thank you very much for your kind answers.

I am already using the present git master which to my understanding

Hi Markus,
probably CDT's parser is not good enough to work all his way through the
TypeTag magic DuMuX piles up. There are no additional files you could
include. With Eclipse, I see no way to achieve more.

Clangd could be useful, but as far as I know it is not supported in
Eclipse's CDT. The idea is already at least three years old:

Hi Christoph

thank you very much for your answer.

I tried to include it using the global path starting from / , but still
have the problem, even though eclipse when clicking on the include file
for the build config finds the file.

Further, including this config file, still eclipse cannot know for
example the TYPETAG, as it gets defined on compilation for the special
test example.

Presumably, there will be some sort of additional config-like .h file
for this purpose around the given location, I will search for it.

Best wishes

Hi Markus,
you have to add the config.h file from your DuMuX build directory to
the headers / includes. Out of my head, I don't know how to do that.
But there the missing macros are defined.
By default you can find the file at dumux/build-cmake/config.h
