[Dx4win] F3 and Update QSO button
When a bring up a contact, either old or new, in the QSO window and hit F3 to open the Callsign /Mgr lookup window, DX4WIN goes to my CD callsign database and put the information in the lookup window fine. Somehow I expected the Update QSO button in the lookup window to copy the address, etc., information into the Notes for this Call field in the QSO window. This action doesn't occur. Is it supposed to? What does the Update button actually update? tnx es 73 - John, W4AU __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] 7.06 won't set split on K3
This might might get it going for you. Download and install DX4WIN 7.07. Use the Elecraft K3 X4 rig file that downloads with version 7.07. If you are using LP_Bridge, I have found that something gets out of whack with it at times. When LP_Bridge gets off track, modes on VFO B and split can be wrong after double clicking a DX spot. Restarting LP_Bridge seems to correct the problem. I hope this helps. 73, Bob - N9SF At 08:27 AM 2/3/2009, Robert Naumann wrote: I looked through the archives, and I did not see a response to Steve's question below. Thanks Bob. I was not using LP Bridge at the time, but I will keep this in mind when I do. I suspect that using the K3 X4 rig definition may resolve it. Re: [Dx4win] RTTY Spots
No, there is no way. Based on your settings for CW frequency cutoff under File Preferences QSO, any spot that does not include the text RTTY in its comment field will be set as either CW or phone. -larry K8UT - Original Message - From: Harry Williams To: dx4win Sent: Monday, February 02, 2009 16:09 Subject: [Dx4win] RTTY Spots I am trying out RTTY so I have configured Dx4win to interface to MMTTY and it all seems to work well with one small but annoying exception. It appears that Dx4win relies on the remarks column in cluster spots to signal RTTY and if there it sets the mode to RTTY and passes it on to the rig. If it is not there the correct mode does not appear to be set. Is there any way to force the mode to RTTY and have Dx4win just ignore the remarks in the spot?
