You can get QRZ lookups in two steps, first F3, then click ENTER in the lookup window. You first have to configure DX4WIN to do the QRZ.COM lookup, more at http://dx4win.ad1c.us -- but you can't easily copy the info into your log as you can with a CDROM lookup. I'm also worried that I don't see the LOTW or eQSL password credentials for easy upload/download from these sites. DX4WIN does not integrate the signing/uploading of logs like other programs do. This is so that when there is a problem, you can tell definitively whether it's with DX4WIN or TQSL or LoTW. So it's a three-step process instead of one: - export newest QSOs - sign exported ADIF file - upload signed ADIF file to LoTW Read more at http://dx4win.ad1c.us 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Once there is NOT a spot for a call for that number of minutes, then the call is announced, you should get the voice announcement. [Dx4win] Radio Label Problems - Setup?
Hi All, I'm having trouble printing a label to a tractor feed label printer. DX4WIN seems to want to issue a Form Feed after my 1 (one) label and a long stream of blank labels result. I've tried various label formats and keep wasting loads of labels. The labels are Avery 4013 and when I use that choice I still end up with a long stream of blank labels instead of just the one I want/need. (ZP6CW told me how to print onto a QSL directly, but I only want to print on just one label once in a while - thanks, Doug.) Also, DX4WIN complains about talking to my Radio (ICOM-7700). I get an error that says, Radio timed out. Radio interface has been disabled. In the preferences, I selected both types of 7700 and set the Hex Address correctly as 74h. My interface works OK with CTWin and also with CT-DOS (previous computer). These two items seem to be pretty simple, so I don't know what I could be doing wrong. I scoured the Help Files and nothing I've tried yet has been able to fix these problems. I've been able to Import OK and connect to DX packetclusters OK and enter QSO's OK. Anybody got any suggestions for me? [Dx4win] Looking for Win-Test log from CQWW RTTY (ADIF)
Hi Folks, Did anyone operate the CQWW RTTY contest in September and use Win-Test for logging? I just found a problem in ADIF to DXQ and need such an ADIF log to verify that I didn't break anything in the program when I made the fix. Just let me know (private reply) if you have such a log (don't send it yet) and tell me what version of Win-Test you used to log the contest. I probably need to test with both a V3.x and V4.x log. I'll send further instructions. [Dx4win] DX4WIN communicating with my FT-5000 fixed
I have resolved my problem with trying to get DX4WIN to communicate with my new Yaesu FT-5000. It was the serial cable I made up that I assumed pins 2 and 3 should have a flop from end to end. I should not have been a nul modem type cable! When I redid the cable to have pin 2 go to pin 2 and the same with pin 3 it fired right up and worked fine. I also had a number of fine hams send me the Yaesu FT-9000 rig file which I am using. Thanks to all that responded with help. What Jim said. It has been working perfectly here under Windows 7 Pro X64 from Day One. Just be sure to install it in your system root directory (e.g., C:/ ) and not one of Windows various program directories.
