Re: [Dx4win] Freq logged in DX4WIN

2011-03-29 Thread Mel
It's normal and correct. Jurisdictions that require amateurs keep a log
require that the transmit frequency by logged.

When in simplex/transceive the RX/TX freq of the K3 (VFO=A and VFO=B) is the
same. OK, that's normal. However when I go to SPLIT operation on the K3 the
frequency displayed and logged in DX4WIN is the TX (VFO=B) freq which can be
from 0 to whatever KHz removed from the RX freq.

Example of problem: During SPLIT operation mode RX = 14.024.00 (VFO A on
 K3), TX = 14029.00 (VFO B on K3). DX4WIN displays and logs 14029.00.

How do I get the RX freq to be indicated and logged in DX4WIN?

A friend using DX4WIN V8.04 and an ICOM IC-746PRO correctly indicates and
logs the RX freq in SPLIT operation.

OK, it may seem a minor point but it is more important to me to log the DX
station TX freq (my RX freq) than it is to log my TX freq.

From a friend who has K3 and DXLAB, both the RX and TX freq are indicated
and logged. Maybe this is a feature that can be added to DX4WIN???

How do I get the RX freq to be indicated and logged in DX4WIN?

In the QSO window, choose QSO | Contest mode, put $$ in the Text to
add to QSO note field. This will record the Rx freq in the Notes
for this QSO field only when running split. The Freq field is always
for the Tx frequency.
