[Elecraft] KPA
I am selling my personal KPA500 – it is in excellent condition, both operationally and cosmetically. I purchased it from the original owner in December of 2016. It has performed flawlessly. I am a very light user of all my equipment, especially the KPA500. I estimate there is less than 10 hours “operating” time on the amp! Therefore, the reason I am selling – it needs to go to a good shack where is can be fully utilized. It will arrive in an Elecraft KPA500 box with inserts, DC power cord (I ran it on 240V), custom cover and color copied, spiral bound Owner’s Manual. [Elecraft] K-POD working intermitterly
My K-Pod has stopped working ... it works (macros are functional) for a few minutes after K3S turned on and then power light is out and button functions do not work! Turn rig off and back on a few minutes later and it functions, for awhile. I have reloaded full firmware for both K3S and P3 ... no behavioral change. I have disconnected K-Pod cable at both rig and K-Pod, re-connect, no change. Cable is connected in jack under front panel. Otherwise, K3S is fully functional. I am aware the “macros” reside within the K3S. Could this be the cable between the rig and K-POD? Any ideas to remedy this situation will be greatly appreciated. Direct reply to wa4...@arrl.net. Interesting input ... and, seems we have 3 different EQ settings from Jim Brown! Question, were these the original setting suggestions from Jim or are these the "final" settings after personal adjustments? Thanks to the group... John WA4AIP K-Line Several experienced ops gave similar recommendations for TX EQ. These settings are from Jim Brown (K9YC) and I used them without any change. Freq. Band 50Hz 100Hz200Hz400Hz 800Hz 1600Hz 2400Hz 3200Hz EQ -16dB -16dB -16dB -3dB 0 0 0 +3dB The 3.2kHz boost is optional, use it if it works for you. I did not.
