Taking a delivery of a K4 would be like winning the lottery. As soon as you
post it you are deluged with friends (questions?) that would make playing with
your new toy impossible. :-)

Re: [Elecraft] Connecting PC to K3S

2021-01-24 Thread weave...@usermail.com
Hi Mike,

I use the winkeyer for a logging program interface (N3FJP, N1MM). The winkeyer
output goes to the straight key jack on the K3S. The paddle plugs into the
paddle jack on the rig. Otherwise it’s just one USB cable K3S to computer and
you’re all set.

Tom,

I had the same problem with a new house in 2011. The Eaton breakers of that era
(2010-2012 or so) were faulty and being replaced by Eaton. It’s a long shot
that it’s the cause of your problem but I mention it just in case (or if
someone else is having a chronic problem).

On the Elecraft website select products from the top menu. Then select K4. On
that page there is a Models tab. That describes the differences in each model.

Re: [Elecraft] Seeking comments on Ham Expo from participants

2020-08-22 Thread weave...@usermail.com
Hi Wayne,

A thumbs up here. I was disappointed that I couldn’t watch the presentations
live with my tablet (still not sure why? Probably cockpit error here!) but the
format of leaving the presentations on line is a good idea. I am also
disappointed that I missed most the Q sessions. The few that I did catch
seemed to be as informative as the presentations themselves. It would be nice
to have them on line also. I didn’t spend much time in the booth as I already
run a K3s/KPA1500 and don’t need to even think of the K4 in the short term :-).
