Re: [PSES] No Performance Declared
Hi Amund, The relevant product standard will identify the characteristics of the product which are regulated by the CPR and of these there will be a minimum set of characteristics which must be declared for the CE marking to be valid. The manufacturer may choose to identify the other (non-mandatory) characteristics as “NPD” on their Declaration of Performance. There has to be at least one characteristic for which performance is declared in order for the CE mark to be valid but for some products, only one characteristic is mandatory, and all others can be ‘NPD’. Note that it is still up to individual Member States to determine which performance levels for specific characteristics are required for their market place, which means that a manufacturer may find that their product cannot be legally used in some territories even though it is perfectly legitimate for them to CE mark and sell it. I didn?t though so & I don't see anything in the CPR that deals with such a statement. But I have heard that the statement is allowed in certain trivial cases, such as a 25 mm nail. -- OOO - Own Opinions Only. With best wishes. See www.jmwa.demon.co.uk Quid faciamus nisi sit? [PSES] No Performance Declared
CPR - Construction Products Regulation (former CPD): I've been told that CPR products have been potted on the marked, even though they clearly do not fulfill all the requirements for CE under the CPR regime. Is it allowed to place products into the marked if the manufactures states ? I didn't though so .
