Taking a small break on New Year apparently was needed. Unfortunately
I have no idea why, but now I can jog all the motors back and forth. I
did work out lead angle value for each motor to provide best max speed
and then somehow also pid started to behave normally. Anyway, I would
like to thank Peter once again for the patience and provided support!

Now I have 2 another questions:
1) is it safe to test THCAD-10 card by providing input voltage from
usual AA or AAA battery?
I want to test, if I have configured the encoder module correctly and
some other related stuff.

2) I created gladevcp panel for plasma signals and other stuff, but
the thing is that all the buttons are inactive.
I looked at gladevcp sample config and I saw that there is a signal
for each table or h-box, in which widgets are placed in. And that
these signals are connected either to e-stop loop or
halui.machine-is-on or even permanently set "true" to link them to
appropriate machine state, when they should be available to user. I
find it very nice feature, so I did the same, but I somehow have
managed to fail. In HalShow I see that those pins of tables or
h-boxes, in which I have some buttons, are true, but buttons are not
available.
What else am I missing?

How about silver brazing key stubs onto the inner and outer faces of a
sleeve?

Surfaces that contact the sleeve could be radius matched if necessary for
strength.

Silver braze with correct gap fit can be _very_ strong.

Mach3 only has a time/position movement buffer available for a
connection to external motion devices in the form of a circular buffer.
The Mach3 planner loads the buffer with movement data.

I suppose it could be viewed as a parametric polynomial. ;-)

That type of motion interface is surprisingly common between PCs and
intelligent motion devices, such as the Galil cards and I believe the
Delta Tau cards, among others.

I wrote a motion plug in for Mach3 a few years ago.

Long ago Art, of Mach3, wrote up a long paper on how Mach3 functions
internally and it is quite accurate.

If anyone would like a copy of it, here it is:

Nerves grow back too.
My brother severed the tip of his little finger and it was stitched back on. No
feeling for a long time, but the nerves grew back eventually.
That's probably cheaper than the Cut Away Spray, but not as instant.
Mind you; lack of feeling in the little finger might be useful if you were
doing karate chops. No need to worry if the brick you were hitting was a bit
too hard.
Then again - No Pain: No Gain (?)

I'd like to point out that there is one other area where humans can
regenerate, fairly effectively in my case up to nearly 40 years old.

Teeth. The percentage in the population as a whole who have this trait is
about 2/100,000 and I was one of them. I drank my coffee with cream &
sugar up until my mid 40's when I bit into a big mac and broke part of a
tooth away. That was my wakeup call that I needed to start taking care of
my teeth. When I was in my 20's, a curious dentist in Iowa City noted that
it appeared that my cavities appeared to be rising on the side of the tooth
in between semi-annual cleanings and offered to take a set of xrays every 6
months as part of a research project for a paper he was writing on the
subject. A year later we had 3 sets of pix that confirmed my teeth were
wearing away on top as expected but were growing from the bottom so that
any cavities were actually carried to the top of the tooth before they
could get deep enough to be a problem.

When I was about 21 I got into a scrap one night and caught a wrench in the
mouth that cleaned the 2 upper front teeth off level with the gum line. By
the time I turned 23, they were almost back to normal height. And at 78YO,
I still have them. Missing some molars though. FWIW, I did return the
favor putting the wrench swinger in the shop for a long week. Since he had
a wife & two kids and wasn't drawing a check, I took his wife half my check
so she could buy groceries two weeks in a row. His stupidity when full of
7 & 7 wasn't their fault according to my reasoning.

Cheers, Gene
