Hi, I do not have an answer to any of your question, unfortunately, though I've a question for you instead. The only thing I know about this is that "it sometimes happens", but whenever I noticed it here and tried to investigate, which is months or even years ago, it magically disappeared and I didn't move any further. To my question: I see from the path that it's an On This Computer folder (as shown in Evolution's UI). How is that directory populated? Is it anything like "received by POP, then moved to the appropriate folder with filters or manually", or "moved manually from another account", or "populated by a 3rd-party software not managed by Evolution itself", or...? Even if it's the last option it should not matter (in some cases I'd say "touching internal Evolution files => expect anything", but not this time), because the Maildir structure should adapt appropriately. It can be that some part of the provider incorrectly constructs the path and causes this error. It may fix on its own when the provider rescans the directory, which is usually done the first time the folder is entered in the GUI. [Evolution] Attachement reject and thumbnail glitch after update
Hello all, Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 up to date, since the last update roll few days ago, Evolution 3.34.2 (flathub) pop-up. Since : - I can't drag and drop anymore attachement, it pop the following: "Unable to load attachment. Error obtaining information from the file "/path/to/file": no file or folder of this type." I still CAN use the "add attachement" button. (This is a french computer) - Evolution thumbnais are replaced by File explorer thumbnail in alt+tab switcher I've already switched from standard package to flathub because of a previous bug (don't remember). Oh no... I just roll 3.34.3 flathub and no change. [Evolution] Unable to retrieve message
I've been getting results like this fairly frequently from evolution; when attempting to read a message (double clicking on it in the message list) a notice like this appears: Unable to retrieve message.Cannot get message 1578599196.1398_1004.amito from folder /home/jonrysh/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/.nancy: No such file or directory This is not surprising, since the file /home/jonrysh/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/.nancy/15785991 96.1398_1004.amito does not exist. However the file /home/jonrysh/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/.nancy/cur/1578 599196.1398_1004.amito:2,Sdoes exist and contains what should be displayed. Evidently something is wrong with the index. I had displayed the message about 5 minutes earlier, before a reboot. The problem usually disappears after a while. Can anyone tell me what's going on, how to investigate it, how to prevent it, or how to recover? The 'client_secret' is a parameter, which is sent to the server. I looked into the source code and evolution-ews doesn't use client_assertion, and it passes NULL (like 'none') client_secret. Maybe the Microsoft page changed something and requires that client_secret, though I know few users whom use OAuth2 with Office365 on a daily bases and they would notice any problem very quickly. Thus, maybe, the way the application is set up forces the use of the client_secret, which is not needed otherwise. That's only a guess though, I do not have any active account to confirm this. The latest (closed) bug about OAuth2 and Office365 is here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-ews/issues/58 Maybe you can find some information there. Searching the web for the error code (AADSTS7000218) can shed some light too. Few of the hits mention that the key was registered as for a Web service, while evolution-ews requires Native application instead. [Evolution] trouble with Office 365 and OAuth2
Hi, I'm using Fedora 31 evolution-3.34.2-1.fc31.x86_64 evolution-ews-3.34.2-1.fc31.x86_64 My organization uses Office 365 and I've been trying to get evolution working with it. The sysadmin tells me he set everything up according to https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Evolution/EWS/OAuth2. He sent me the application ID and tenant ID. He configured it as a "public" application rather than "confidential". When I try to add my account to evolution, the first few steps go well. I can set up the account using the wizard. Then I get a mini-browser that prompts for my password. Once I enter that, I get another page that asks if I want to be prompted for a password less often, and I've tried clicking various options there. Then I get an error message {"error":"invalid_client","error_description":"AADSTS7000218: The request body must contain the following parameter: 'client_assertion' or 'client_secret' Now I don't know what to do. I'm guessing there's something else the sysadmin needs to do, but I don't know what to tell him. What should I do? It seems you use 3.34.3, probably both evolution-data-server and evolution), which contains latest attempts to address this issue. I do not think it always worked, but I think a restart of the calendar factory or the background processes sometimes helped. I suppose you restarted the calendar factory process (when running it to get the log), but it didn't help, right? I've no idea what to try next, the log snippets you showed looks fine. Hm, thanks, I guess I can do that, but then the whole meeting is gone. I would like to have an Outlook-like behaviour, that simply marks my attendance status as "not attending", so others can also see what I am doing. [Evolution] CalDAV is readonly
Hello everyone, I tried to conenct my work calendar (provided by some Exchange server) via CalDAV to Evolution. However it is considered /readonly/ for some reason. How can I make it writeable? I started the calendar factory in debug mode (CALDAV_DEBUG=all and -w flag) to see what the server provides: ... Allow: OPTIONS, PROPFIND, HEAD, GET, REPORT, PROPPATCH, PUT, DELETE, POST <-- I guess the HTML actions are fine... ... The reply to the PROPFIND request is this: ... /users/peter.kra...@kit.edu/calendar/ <-- I guess this means I can write HTTP/1.1 200 OK ... Is there something I do wrong? Maybe a way to override those settings?
