Hii Vaibhav,

Happy to know that you are a CA too. That means you are a superman in
accounting line. Because if a person is qualified CA and have good hands on
excel/vba, that means he can do 8 hrs work in just 1 hr.

I am neither a CA nor a VBA expert but have good hands on excel, little bit

and minimized my work.

Anyways, you earlier vba helped me a lot.

Hi Vaibhav, Thanks for the Concern !

I understand everyone here is engaged in some profession but even then Some
people like you spare time out of their busy schedule to help people out of
trouble. I am a CA by profession and can do some good things in Excel but
not in VBA. I tried learning VBA at some centres but none imparts VBA in
the traditional sense of the learning. Also bought two books, one by John
Walkenbach and other by Bill Jelen. Read some 150 pages of it. Gained some
knowledge but yet I do not feel confident enough to deal with Web
applications.

Due to high stress of TDS returns now a days, I often come to Excel-Macros
groups to find helps on issues I cannot deal with. These returns consuming
a major portion of available time, even family time. So honestly even
though I long to do experiments in VBA, I couldn't spare time yesterday to
work on that. I understand that If I can't spend time on my issues then why
anyone else should be interested in it. That's why I don't even requested
again for anyone to solve it. I would certainly give it a shot, Not sure
with present skills I can conclude it, but certainly there won't be any
lack of efforts.

Have you tried your hands on it ?

$$Excel-Macros$$ Macro Required

2015-02-05 Thread Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna
Hi Experts,

I have attached a sheet.
I wish there could be a macro which when run
--assess the website given in column A1,
--copy the value given in cell A4 in the input box
--wait for me to enter the Captcha MANUALLY (as I have learnt that it is
quite a tedious process via code)
--copy the resulting values and paste them into the required columns in the
sheet (if the input value is invalid then only Mark INVALIDPAN in column B)
--copy and value given in Next Cell i.e., A5 and so on till the List is
exhausted.

Hope I am clear !

$$Excel-Macros$$ Macro Required

2015-02-04 Thread Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna

Sincere Regards

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ macro required for finding uniques

2014-11-25 Thread Paul Schreiner
I'm sure there's more information that you're not telling us.

What column has the Chas data?
is Chas the same column in all tabs? or does the macro have to locate it?

I created two files with the mentioned sheet names and put about 1000 random
numbers in each sheet.

Then I created the following macro to find the unique values and put them in
sheet(1) of the current workbook:

Option Explicit
Sub Uniquelist()
Dim wb As Workbook
Dim rCnt As Integer
Dim R As Integer
Dim sht
Dim Dict_Unique
Dim tArray

Set Dict_Unique = CreateObject(Scripting.Dictionary)
Dict_Unique.RemoveAll

Workbooks.Open C:\temp\VBA\File1.xlsx, ReadOnly:=True

For Each sht In Array(A, B, C)
rCnt =
Application.WorksheetFunction.CountA(ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(sht).Range(A1:A65000))
For R = 1 To rCnt
If (Not Dict_Unique.exists(ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(sht).Cells(R,
A).Value)) Then
Dict_Unique.Add ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(sht).Cells(R,
A).Value, sht
End If
Next R
Next sht
ActiveWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False

Workbooks.Open C:\temp\VBA\File2.xlsx, ReadOnly:=True
sht = D
rCnt =
Application.WorksheetFunction.CountA(ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(sht).Range(A1:A65000))
For R = 1 To rCnt
If (Not Dict_Unique.exists(ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(sht).Cells(R,
A).Value)) Then
Dict_Unique.Add ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(sht).Cells(R,
A).Value, sht
End If
Next R
ActiveWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False

ThisWorkbook.Sheets(1).Range(A2:A65000).ClearContents
tArray = Dict_Unique.keys
For R = 0 To UBound(tArray)
ThisWorkbook.Sheets(1).Cells(R + 2, A).Value = tArray(R)
Next R
End Sub

Sheet 1, Cell B1: =IF(ROUND($C$1,0)ROUND('Previous Month
Data'!X1+D165+E165+F165+G165+H165,0),ERROR,)

Problem 1:

Highlighted cells are total Cost and formula should be incremented every month.

For example,

In this file the formula is D165+E165+F165+G165+H165

For next month it should be
D165+E165+F165+G165+H165+I165

Please refer to attached file. Description is as follows:

Sheet 1 is used for calculations and Sheet 2 is used as data sheet only.

I will be running Macro every month. Macro needs to apply below formula:

 *Sheet 1, Cell B1*:

 *=IF(ROUND($C$1,0)ROUND('Previous Month
 Data'!X1+D165+E165+F165+G165+H165,0),ERROR,) *

 incremented every month.

 For example,

In this file the formula is

*D165+E165+F165+G165+H165 *For next month it should be

*D165+E165+F165+G165+H165+I165 *and +J165 and so on for next months.

 *Problem 2:*
Row no 165 used in this formula can be increased or decreased. For

*Condition 3: *If Month is February, formula must start from D165 to O165.

 Thanks in advance.

picture.top = (slide.height - picture.height)/2

It may need ActiveWindow.width rather than slide.width

2012-05-07 Thread Tony Wu
Hi Maries,

I have checked the file but all numbers, no formula inside ... hence, the
macro needs to do something on the data itself not to create another sheet.
The sample I provided is to show what result I want to see not meaning it
will be 2 sections of the data, I guess using formula will not make it.

Can you help with?

Thanks,

Tony

$$Excel-Macros$$ Macro Required

2010-06-19 Thread Chaudhry Zahid Ali
Dear Group,

I have excel sheets containing sales data on daily basis (from about 150
sites) (The columns are similar in all the daily sale files but rows change
from time to time as new sites either become operational or stop working). I
wish to consolidate all the data in one excel file in such a way that the
macro extracts data from specific cells and inputs them into the
consolidated sheet, Further, once one sheet is full in the consolidated
sheet, the macro would automatically create a new sheet and start inputing
the data there.

If this task can be done easily with access, I'm all ear for access based
suggestion as well.

Regards,

ZAC

$$Excel-Macros$$ Macro required for consolidation

2009-10-30 Thread nitin gupta
Hi All

I am an excel user with negligible knowledge if VBA codes.
I want to know if following is possible by any generic macro:

--My objective is to consolidate few number of files (say 20 files) where
data is there in just two fields i.e Country and Sales in USD. To
clarify more: There are 20 files with 2 sheets each and each sheet have 2
headings Country and Sales in USD with data in it . So in nutshell I
have 40 sheets in 20 files.
Now I want alll these data to come in One file (say XYZ.xls) one-by-one, no
futher formatting is required

--- Above macro should be in a excel file which should have buttons to ask
for Location of Dumps(i.e location of 20 files) and one more button to ask
for Location of new file (XYZ). And this macro can be used in any machine/PC

Any help on this is highly appreciated

Nitin
