Re: ??? on outlook folders
Its a language pack issue. I support both english and japanese users and I see this whenever I open a japanese user's mailbox on a machine that doesn't have the east asian character sets. Make sure you have the correct locales loading in Exchange and that each client has the appropriate language packs on their OS. One careful note, it's possible have the ??? written back to the Exchange IS so that even a user with the correct language sees only ??? Disappearing e-mail in Outlook folders (Exch 5.5 SP 4)
Hi Everyone, I installed Service Pack 4 on my Exchange 5.5 server last Friday and since then all mail users have had a weird problem with disappearing mail in their Outlook folders. At first the mail completely disappears when the user tries to sort it by Subject. It then returns when sorted by From or Received. In a few cases mail cannot be displayed in the Sent Items folder at all. At first I thought it was just user error but the whole site has this problem to one degree or another. Any ideas?? In a few cases mail cannot be displayed in the Sent Items folder at all. At first I thought it was just user error but the whole site has this problem to one degree or another. Any ideas??
