First Trump spreads some incorrect rumor about Ford moving to Mexico and

You keep saying that about him showing up. If you were a betting woman it
seems you would be 3 to 1 in favor of him being a no-show. I'm pretty sure he
will show up. He's just sadistic enough to want to try all of his dirty tricks
on Clinton (he gets off on it - being a troll) plus, even he realizes to fail
to engage would be insurmountably negative for his campaign. His people will be
clamoring for blood and Hillary's supporters are hoping he will simply reveal
himself for what he actually is - an uninformed scumbag. There will be a huge
percentage of the US population watching this first debate. I wouldn't want to
be the moderator at any price. Let's just hope Trump totally loses his shit.

The mechanics of Trump's hair have been dissected in the past, including right
here in Rolling Stone, in a 2011 interview with Trump
http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/news/donald-trump-lets-his-hair-down-20110511:

"'OK, what I do is, wash it with Head and Shoulders. I don't dry it, though. I
let it dry by itself. It takes about an hour. Then I read papers and things.
This morning I read in the New York Post about Jerry Seinfeld backing out of
his commitment to do a benefit for my son Eric's charity. I've never been a big
fan of Jerry Seinfeld — never dug him, in the true sense — but when I did The
Marriage Ref, which was his show and a total disaster, I did him a big favor.
Then he did this. It's a disgrace.' He goes on, 'I also watch TV. I love Fox, I
like Morning Joe, I like that the Today show did a beautiful piece on me
yesterday — I mean, relatively speaking. OK, so I've done all that. I then comb
my hair. Yes, I do use a comb.' He pauses, frowning, casting his mind back to
capture the details of the event. 'Do I comb it forward? No, I don't comb it
forward.' He pushes the leading edge of the flying wing of his hair back, to
show where the hairline is. 'I actually don't have a bad hairline. When you
think about it, it's not bad. I mean, I get a lot of credit for comb-overs. But
it's not really a comb-over. It's sort of a little bit forward and back. I've
combed it the same way for years. Same thing, every time.'"

Totally. The press lives on doubt, controversy, drama and innuendo. They need
this race to appear close and they need to keep feeding into the idea that the
two candidates are neck in neck. All this does is make those who support
Hillary more determined to get out and vote while at the same time cementing
those who are silly enough to support Trump to keep supporting him. Pretty much
everyone knows who they are going to vote

Nobody lied, Mike. They released the info about the pneumonia the same day. If
it weren't for the disgusting right-wing campaign to make an issue of her
nonexistent health problems, she might have followed doctor's orders and stayed
home and rested rather than going to the ceremony. But she knew they'd blow
that up into a huge thing as well, when it was a minor illness that was
improving with antibiotics. By Sunday morning, she felt well enough to go to
the ceremony, but with the heat and the dehydration, it was more debilitating
than she expected.

She didn't lie about the emails, she didn't lie about Benghazi, and she didn't
lie about the pneumonia.

More than a little overoptimistic, I'm thinking. Trump has consistently reached
at least 40% since late August and I don't think Hillary has ever topped 54%.
It will be very close. Were I to place a bet right now, I would put my money on

of yourself, you usually what to look your best and that usually is younger.

Kind of reminds me of the photos the press uses of some of these thugs that
get shot by police or others, like Treyvon Martin and Micheal Brown. They pick
out a photo several years younger, when he looked like a sweet innocent kid to
publish. Then they fail to show the kid grown up with tattoos and and a gold
grill in his mouth with that menacing look. A picture is worth a thousand words.
I have very serious doubts as to whether that guy is a real Secret Service
agent. If so, it appears their standards have fallen dramatically. Usually they
require height / weight proportionality.

He was the one that came up to her during a speech in which she got freaked
out about a protestor and steadied her, to regain her focus. That doesn't
sound very *Secret Service like* to me. Sounds more like a *care taker*.
You've been fooled by her since day 1.

Yeah, it is a curious problem these days, with tech providing us with
'super-powers', yet we still struggle to rise to the consciousness that will
make tech less disruptive, and more supportive of solutions.

Right now, there is kind of a giddyness globally, about each of us being
empowered for expression, through social media and media in general. Having
instant access to so much of the world, and being able to influence it, is not
something we have been rigged for historically, and it is stirring up
everything, all values, and ways of acting, interacting, and reacting, as we
find our way through this infinitely connected world, and learn how to adjust
to it.

Although the media tsunami provides vastly more input to our senses, and
questions more and more of what we experienced as a solid world previously, the
challenge remains the same, to maintain and nurture our spiritual life in the
face of whatever goes on around us, and do our best to adapt and thrive in this
new world.

2016-09-15 Thread Sal Sunshine salsunshineini...@gmail.com [FairfieldLife]
That’s it. And taking any of these polls seriously, before any of the debates,
is IMO foolish. Too much can happen and the idea that Trump is going to do
anything but blow it royally at the debates~~if in fact he shows up at all~~is
truly fanciful.

But there is a way that Hillary can lose, if she pulls a Gore and agrees with
Trump, tries to make him look smarter than he is, etc. I really doubt that
will happen, but if she did that would more or less leave the election wide
open.

As it stands now, Trump will be relegated to the dustbin of history in less
than two months, and hopefully after that will slink away to whatever corner of
the planet he can find that won’t laugh him out of existence.

I know on the side of those who despise Trump that there is a kind of
agitation, of angst of disturbance. It is interesting to experience it. I don't
usually follow US elections but I certainly picked a doozy this time. Between
my inability to actually watch and listen to the Repugnant nominee and the hype
of the media covering everything from fake doctor's letters to discussing ad
nauseum Trump's tax returns or latest hate rant I just want it to be over. I am
also totally disgusted that this horrible human, Trump, is getting so much time
and energy spent on covering him. He is a waste of life and space. He doesn't
rate a moment more of anyone's attention. We get it.

Pretty much
everyone knows who they are going to vote for by now but the press just keeps
making it look like it is a see saw of close calls.

Do not worry. You have my personal guarantee that Trump will be trounced.
Hillary is back on the trail today and she will gain momentum. Nothing Trump
has done in the last day or so has gained him any more voters. His trip to
Flint was a flop, his fanbase punched a bunch of protesters out including a 69
year old woman on oxygen, his joke grandstanding on Dr Oz shows us just how
serious he is (not at all) and he, generally, continues to look like a fool.
Estimates as of last night on CNN were that Hillary would still get a third
more electoral votes as of today. He is losing. Granted, the first debate will
be crucial but dealing with a troll (as we all know having been members of
online forums) is a thankless business so Hillary has her work cut out for her.

don't like, not that I prefer Trump", they proclaim. Always excuses. Always
silently approving the ugliness and separation, the us vs them, the stink of I

his signature message. His outsider status also proclaiming that he has never
done a day of public service in his life. The loser, the schemer, the idiot,

2016-09-15 Thread Mike Dixon mdixon.6...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Old picture when the guy was younger and thinner. I've seen several other
photos of the guy at various weights. Many doctors publish photos of themselves
when they just graduated medical school. You see them in their office and
they're twenty years older and fifty pounds heavier. When you publish a photo
of yourself, you usually what to look your best and that usually is younger.
Kind of reminds me of the photos the press uses of some of these thugs that get
shot by police or others, like Treyvon Martin and Micheal Brown. They pick out
a photo several years younger, when he looked like a sweet innocent kid to
publish. Then they fail to show the kid grown up with tattoos and and a gold
grill in his mouth with that menacing look. A picture is worth a thousand
words.I have very serious doubts as to whether that guy is a real Secret
Service agent. If so, it appears their standards have fallen dramatically.
Usually they require height / weight proportionality.
He was the one that came up to her during a speech in which she got freaked out
about a protestor  and steadied her, to regain her focus. That doesn't sound
very *Secret Service like* to me. Sounds more like a *care taker*.You've been
fooled by her since day 1.

If I'm really honest about it, what worries me most is that if Trump wins, the

whether this year it might be different. Trump is a wild card, and the markets
don't seem to like that kind of thing. I know very little about money or

No worries. Go to RCP (link below) and look at the aggregate polls for the last
yea,r plus. Trump has a slim margin over Hillary in a handful of them, but
despite the smokescreen put up by the media, this has never been much of a
contest.

Clinton has held the majority consistently, through all the fake "crises" and
"issues", this one being the latest. Once you train yourself to ignore the fake
"news" about Hillary, the race such as it is, becomes a slam dunk for Clinton.
Don't be swayed by the noise and BS, Trump is making ZERO progress towards an
election win.

I’ve seen the latest polls, and not only do they have Hillary still winning by
a comfortable amount, I have seen nothing anywhere about Trump and the debates.

Putting someone else in her place isn’t going to happen, and you’re going to
have to deal with her as President (a woman, gasp!) sooner or later. As you
well know (or should) the debates have become crucial to someone’s winning, and
unless Hillary pulls a Gore, which I find very unlikely, she is going to be
perceived as the brilliant stateswoman she is after the first one.

And also as you well know (or should) it’s to the advantage of some very sleazy
news media to make this into a tight or tightening race.

Nice try.

Remember that presidential elections are won by the electoral vote, not the
popular vote.

The new NYTimes poll notwithstanding, it still says Hillary has a 76 percent
chance of winning.

Also remember the debates are yet to come (first one is September 26).

And finally, remember that the media has a powerful interest in the contest
being a horse race, up in the air until the last possible moment.
