The thugs broke into the shelter, (for which my wife was then volunteering and has now been working for years), and bludgeoned about 30 cats with baseball bats, killing most of them. It was a bloody mess. There was nothing ³fun² about it for anyone involved, including the killers, who underwent an expensive trial and spent about a month in jail. I doubt that anything in life is truly ³fun² for anyone capable of doing such a thing. Their state of consciousness must relegate them to a hellish existence. This is a good time to remind everyone, what happens when we have a culture that glamorizes killing... Is it any wonder why with so much violence on TV and the violent video games, crazy internet sites, and the war in Iraq; That killing can be regarded in this enviornment to be 'fun'. I have heard stories, some of them becoming quite public now, Of soldiers in Iraq, 'snapping' and going on a killing rampage. Some of these soldiers return home, and commit crimes of passion, killing an ex-wife's friend, and so on... Killing becomes an addiction- In a culture where one becomes numb, And loses any sense of compassion, with a cold heart; The only thing left to feel, is some kind of sick sense of power; That killing, or raping provides. There is a cold-hearted feeling associated with this type of energy. Some have called it the devil, the evil one, Mick Jagger wrote a song, a while back: Asking for sympathy...
