You wanna try Byronizing, maybe? What is it about life as it is that bothers you the most - what do you most deeply feel should be different than it is?Byronizing, sounds like a type of drycleaning. Nah, life, it's good. I'm happy already. I could go right this second. Nah, I want to stick around, in fact, as senseless as maya is it seems to get better, even as it gets worse. Snake Ananta, oh Kundalini, we go around and around in this one except that as a double Libra I have found balance in ipso facto balance and not renouncing the dark or the light to borrow from Lao Tzu. Nonetheless, to not recognize suffering is foolish at best, and leads to a complete root downfall at worst. Unless it doesn't of course. I suffered plenty and I won't forget it either ever. Moreover, I know that watching my karma is all that I have to prevent future suffering, and really nothing else. Each thing on its own. And when each thing is on the other then is tantra. Re: [FairfieldLife] Re: Join Bhagavad Gita discussion
Honestly, as a Buddhist, nothing of what maharishi says is very specifically importantto me. I'm just thinking how the Mahayana are trying to preserve their texts anyway they can, on the material plane, for the liberation of those who follow. TMO seems to be hiding everything, and that hiding will end up destroying the material, since dissemination is the easiest way to guarentee longevity, control is the quickest route to mismanagement. Open the archives to everyone and let them manage. My last boss, the asshole, is now cooking everything himself because he couldn't manage. He'll die 20 years faster doing it all himself. But if he empowered others to cook then he could step back and live longer. His legacy will die with him because it was all about him anyway. But if it had been about the food then the food could have lived on. If MMY's message was empowering to everybody then we would have it, use it, beit, on paper as it is in heaven. Maharishi micromanaged and now his following can't manage. Disseminate and empower. Withdraw and leave to ones own devices. Just a comment. Howestly, I'm most pleased overall when I merely feel shauca, I'm not overly pleased by more. I'm easy. I'm just saying, over and over, that the TMO will only survive if it disseminates its holdings right now, or otherwise it will just be an outer shell like The Church. - Original Message - From: Rory Goff To: FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com Sent: Friday, April 08, 2005 12:32 PM Subject: [FairfieldLife] Re: Join Bhagavad Gita discussion --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, "rudra_joe" [EMAIL PROTECTED]... wrote: *lol* And yet when the Knowledge appears to you abundantly, here now and free of charge, you also complain that it doesn't fit into your old bottle... ;-) ---Can you be more specific.Everything you are asking for has (Now) just been handed to you; it is simply -- as a cook-friend of mine once said -- that you think you're looking for specific boogers. :-) Good line, by the way.To subscribe, send a message to:[EMAIL PROTECTED]Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/and click 'Join This Group!' They seem to take care of themselves nicely without my having to micromanage it all. Those Hitlerian or Nietzschian fantasies you spoke of can evaporate pretty damn fast when Brahman has you and it becomes abundantly obvious that you are/have always been utterly perfect (just like the world) and no better and no worse than the dog feces by that fire hydrant. Literally. RudraJoe wrote: snip A beneficient mercury with a good saturn would make for a stable heaven on earth. If those two conditions change for everyone then how can heaven on earth be stable? If I forget remind that I once had an answer to this before it runs away. Rory wrote: Heaven on Earth doesn't depend on anyone except You, as far as You are concerned. Once you jump in, the whole world changes; You ARE the whole world. This may not be a lot of fun at first (although it is an immense relief) but it can warm up pretty quickly to sustain any level of love/ecstasy. The paradox is -- always changing, ever the same. How do these two qualities can co-exist -- impermanence and permanence? How can the Impersonal, unchanging Abyss can also be Lively and Personal? I can only say, it just IS. One of those paradoxical qualities one can't wrap one's head around so long as one stays in slice-and-dice rational spacetime. Have to be wholehearted to embrace it all -- jump right into the Abyss, fearlessly and with full trust.
