Is there another scent you can use? Years ago I got sick on peppermint. So now I gagged on the smell. Grand-kids think it is funny will purposely eat it around me. Consider using rubber maid or knock off totes that are larger than standard litter boxes. I really like Odo Ban for odor removal and have had wonderful luck with it. I use vinegar in regular cleaning--- less toxic than many cleaners. Yes, you can use on carpets – but as always, using anything, test on a corner somewhere. For very strong odor, I do 50/50…for washing floors, I do ½ c to a gal. water….in a spray bottle, to spray and wipe, I use a smaller amount, like ¼ c. – you can make it any ratio you feel like for any specific job. I rinse with water, and the smell eventually dissipates. It’s great in the laundry in the rinse water. One of the best odor removers is Dawn dishwashing detergent. You won't believe it til you try it. I always clean with that first and then spray with a urine/enzyme product. You can use a triple threat with dawn, baking soda and vinegar but I find the most effective combo is the dawn and the enzyme product. OUT that is sold at Tractor Supply is reasonably priced and I find it to be very effective after using the Dawn.
