I can understand your pain. They aren't "just cats" to most of us on this board. I do believe they have souls and will be waiting for us one day. I wish I knew something that could take away the pain but I do not. My prayers are with you.Martha Alejandra Moreno <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Thank you. Re: thoughts Adri is dead
Alejandra, I don't think it's wrong to cry for an animal who has loved you and been with you daily. As horrible as so many situations are around the world, they aren't right in front of us or in our lives every day. And I do believe animals have souls; with all their personality and vibrance, how could they not? I'm glad our support helps you at this difficult time; we are always here for you. <>>>Martha Alejandra Moreno <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Thank you. Since I am new in town I do know many people here. Re: thoughts Adri is dead
No, I don't think it's that you are "wrong" -- it's hard for people to grieve for those we don't know. It's part of the human condition. Of course we all feel sympathy for those who are dying in Africa, or in a war, or from starvation -- but it's hard to feel intense grief for people when we have no feelings for them in the first place. We can be sorry for them, we can feel sympathy for the people that love them, but that's all we can do. You are not wrong to feel intense grief for your cat. You loved Adri. She was your fur baby. As for what happens to them when they die -- there are many differing opinions on that issue. Some people think that animals simply cease to exist and that they have no souls. I don't know that I believe that because if God is going to have all the things in heaven that we loved, why would He not have our pets there for us as well? Just because they're "animals", it doesn't mean He doesn't value them too. He created all things, so of course He is concerned for all of His creatures -- great and small. So I cling to the hope that when I pass on to meet the Lord in Heaven, all of my beloved furchildren will be there to greet me as well. Big hugs to you.
