[Finale] circled note heads
Thanks to Aaron, Christopher, and Jeff for your great help concerning circled noteheads. Using the Maestro K font with a metatool seems to work pretty good for me. It lines up good with the note vertically but, a little to the right horizontally which takes a small adjustment. Guess I don't have the line up with metatools just right. At least I have the circles now. Thanks again, George ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
Re: [Finale] circled note heads
huh? if you are using an existing font character (although i don't know what the Maestro K font is), why not use special tools: note shape tool? you can adjust the stem connections in relation to the different noteheads in the doc options: stems: stem connections. i get the feeling that there might be an easier way to do what you are trying to do, george, can you post an example online somewhere of what you want? -- shirling neueweise ... new music publishers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] :.../ http://newmusicnotation.com ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
Re: [Finale] circled note heads
I made a mistake on Maestro Kis was shift L. The font seemed great but having trouble with the alignment. Maybe your suggestion with the shape tool could be a better way. I'll try it. What could be easier than that? If you create your circle as a shape expression, or as an articulation, and then get the positioning right, you can assign it to a metatool and it will place itself perfectly every time. There are circled noteheads in Engraver Extras font at F and sh-F. Replace the notehead with these new ones using the Special Tools. Alternately, you could create an articulation or an expression that is set to position automatically. A little work now and you could have a circle that you could enter in one click as a metatool.
