RE: [Flashcoders] How can I display a tall document?
I've got to say that the first link is much nicer than the resize the flash solution they've got here, so perhaps it's not so bad an idea. And the second link, that's a cool idea done fairly badly. Searching the net, no solution could be found for this. We want our users flashfiles to be loaded from our site, but rejected when called from other sites to secure our bandwidth. NOTE: The flashfiles are submitted content, so we can't change them. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this correctly? - On a more technical note (for those that wish to know what we tried) : - We tried PHP to parse the files, using an swf header. This works in most cases, but appearantly some swf files do not work correctly (it looks fine at first, but things go bad when using the swf). Even though the parsed file is both in Header as in content equal (to the bit, checked that in filesize and in code) the code behaves differently than the original swf.(for instance when a key is pressed a characters animation will play but won't be moved around). - Now we'r trying to secure a webdirectory (with ModRewrite), to not load swf files when not refered to by our site, but object and embed tags do not pass on a referer in the header, thus blocking all requests or simple not blocking any. Re: [Flashcoders] Flex Pricing
Ah, I don't know a whole lot about Flex, just what I've seen from a few videos on the MM/Adobe site, but I'm definitely interested in knowing more... Can anyone point me towards some info on using flex without the Builder and funky server-side stuff on the web? As it's no longer 1996, I don't really believe in coughing up AU$8000 for a development environment :) -Josh -- His comrades fought beside him, Van Owen and the rest... [Flashcoders] vardump an object in ActionScript?
Hi, I'm wondering if there's any way to just dump out all there is to know about an object in ActionScript similar to PHP's vardump()? It's easily done with for(foo in bar) in JS, but that doesn't seem to work. Any pointers much appreciated :) Cheers, -Josh -- His comrades fought beside him, Van Owen and the rest... [Flashcoders] Giving back oyFlashDoc.jsfl - host needed.
Howdy, I've made a few changes to this to make it more useful for my sitation (need to generate a whole gang of the xml files). And since it's GPL and somewhat useful, I'd like to send a copy back out there. However there's no way I can get it on the web from here, so if anyone wants to host it, please mail me off-list and I'll email it to you. Or, since the changes are fairly trivial (although useful), if nobody cares that's cool too :) -Josh -- His comrades fought beside him, Van Owen and the rest... Re: [Flashcoders] Giving back oyFlashDoc.jsfl - host needed.
That's an idea, but I hear you've got to jump through a lot of hoops to get anything up there. This also isn't quite perfect, it only seems to get frame actions... Perhaps it'd just be easier to just serialized the entire DOM object for the fla file? -Josh -- His comrades fought beside him, Van Owen and the rest... But of all the thompson gunners- Roland was the best. Josh McDonald Analyst Programmer Information Technology Ph: 61 7 3006 6460 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] 10/02/2006 10:23:21 am Just to clarify, oyFlashDoc.jsfl is used to pull Actionscript from a FLA. As for uploading it, why not put it on the Macromedia Flash Exchange? I personally haven't done this, but I'm pretty sure they host the files.
