[Flightgear-devel] V9.9 test run

2005-11-11 Thread rhett3
I compiled 9.9 test version on my Thinkpad T42 (I'm on the road) and after
loading the cloud file, it worked for the default Cessna. However, when I
tried the Citation I got the following messages, and it would not take off. It
also had a couple of the instruments on the left side o f the panel (clock and
the one above it) that were largely obscured by
gray lines. Couldn't do much else without a joystick, which is not where I am.

Hope this helps somebody,

Rex

[Flightgear-devel] re: Steve's problem with openGL

2005-11-05 Thread rhett3

Steve,

I have had this problem, and I remember doing two things.

First check to see if you installed the openGL-devel stuff, without it
the program cannot find the headers.

Second, be sure you haven't installed it twice, or that it is not in the
right
directory. I am still confused about the latter, but I remember
removing and
reinstalling both openGL and the devel and getting it to work.

Hope this helps.

Rex

[Flightgear-devel] HUD fonts for Norman Vine

2005-10-11 Thread rhett3

Norman,

The problem is I need to change the font that is showing on my HUD
to make it larger (and brighter). I cannot figure out where this is done.
It seems to refer back to properties in some way, but I can't find where
the lever is. If I change the sizes in the programs in Cockpit, nothing
happens. If the program is not using the GL fonts, what is it using and
how does one change one or more instances in the HUD?

Thanks,

Rex du Pont

[Flightgear-devel] fonts for HUD

2005-10-10 Thread rhett3

I am going nuts trying to enlarge the fonts for a tailored HUD display.
I have changed the definition is hud.cxx to HUD_FONT_LARGE with
no effect. I have tried to change HUD_Text_Size in hud.cxx. But
these have no effect.

Where would these be set, outside of the Cockpit directory?

Thanks,

[Flightgear-devel] AGL and HUD

2005-10-06 Thread rhett3

I have had this problem with an older version of FG, around 8.0, when
using a separate computer for the scenery. For reasons unexplained
the altitude was set initially in /Network/native_fdm.cxx as an addon to
the runway height, then the AGL changed, and with it the altitude. I
fixed it for our purposes by locking the AGL to the takeoff runway
altitude, but the current version does it the other way, getting AGL
from the altitude and subtracting the current ground elevation to
get the AGL.

I don't know if this helps in your case.
